I have to figure out how to make whichever car i am using faster out of the corners...need tuning help and also i have the logitech g25 racing wheel and is there a way to make the silver paddles next to the steering wheel act as gear shifts?

instead of using the hand gear shift in the normal way?

as i dont want to use manual but to win these races do I have to?

thanks for any help, tuning the amuse/mines/gt/ would be the best thing for me or should i buy something else for S7 and S10??

They are gear shifts. In sequential mode you can either use those or tap the gear lever forwards/backwards.

thanks guys, saw the tuning thread but cant find what i was looking for, i will look again...

i am out of town in hotel so not looking real hard yet...cant wait to try those shifters...wouldn't have known about turning the knob but nothing is on left side other than little knob on wheel, is that what you mean? i have gear shift section with some stuff there, where exactly?

There's a giant, circular grey disc above the gear lever. It has a pair of arrows on the left side (with a + and a - in them, one up, one down) and an H-gate shift pattern on the right side. The disc has a grip across the diameter with a red dot on the end.

If the red dot is pointing to the H-gate shift pattern, you're in H-gate mode - where you position the gear lever in 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th gear as you wish. If the red dot is pointing to the arrows, you're in sequential mode, where you tap the gear lever forward or backward or use the paddles to change gear.

To change between the two, push the gear lever itself straight down into the housing (not "down" as in "back towards 4th gear"; straight down) and rotate the disc.

thanks famine, i am going home in a few hours and cant wait, now if i could figure out how to make my mines/bmw or whatever else fast enough to win s7 and s10 i would be giddy

what physics? in standard i did it with the amuse, nothing to special tuning wise. in pro i used the gt lm spec and i had to go pretty in depth to make it controlible.

I used a tuned Corvette Z06. Shorten the gear ratios all the way, used the lowest downforce setting (Didn't feel a difference anyway with downforce max), and cambered to whatever you like and use the stock power while adding only 1% more weight.

shorten, meaning make the gearing so each gear changes at a lower speed, right?

The Ford GT LM or Nissan GT-R would be the fastest 2 cars for those tracks at the pp ratings, although they can both really suck if your unfamiliar with them.
