Help!

I just finished one of the 24 hour races and when it starts to load the replay and all that stuff i got a red speedometer loading sign instead of a white one and its been loading for about 30 min. now, is that normal?

Do a search for Disc Read Error in the main forum. I believe ou can try cleaning the disc, but I would look at other posts before trying anything.

I think that my disk is too scratched, which is odd because I look after my disks well and I have 7 year old PS1 games that still work.

Ouch! Your PS2 is having problems reading the disc and is hanging.
I think the only solution is to clean your disc and reset /restart your PS2.
Your last race might not be saved, which means you've raced 24 hours for nothing...

i never had that problem, just get disc, clean, then put back in.

The red loading logo is the equivilent of the Microsoft Blue Screen of Death. In other words you are screwed unless you got lucky and it saved the win before it died (unlikely ). I've had it happen once, on a short race (thankfully) and there was no way to recover and I tried everything I could think of.
