Jessee's got some rims and tires he'd like to get rid of:

The wheels
17x7.5 Konig tantrum
45mm offset, 5x4 1/2" bolt pattern

The tires
p215/40zr17 Kumho Ecsta 712 with 5,000 miles on them

If these fit the wrx, he will sell you the whole bundle for cheap. interested?

Yes, I'm interested.

Hmmm...everything looks okay, but I'm not sure on the bolt pattern. I'll see if I can find the actual measurement.

Correction: I can't use a 45mm offset wheel. I have to be between 48 and 53.

Sorry, but no dice.

Oh, well...
No point in sharing the price. That'd really torque you off :lol
100mm bolt pattern?!?! What is this world coming to? That's downright flimsy!

The WRX can wear +45mm offsets, but rubbing is an issue. It's a traditional thing for Subis to have wild offsets.

As far as the bolt pattern...I haven't lost a wheel yet! ;)

I s'pose...
And I'm used to thinking in terms of 26" total wheel+tire diameter with slicks.
The all-out racers will upgrade to 5" bolt patern with 1/2" studs, but they generate alot more force as well.

Not all of us drive older American cars. 4 x 100mm is what the Saturn uses too, and with a 50mm offset. Given that most cars never see a race track, or even hard driving, that's more than adequate. Unfortunately, some of us are a little rougher on our cars than others.

Speaking of rough, I have a (rhetorical) dumb question; cracked bell housing = bad, right? :embarrassed:uch: Looks like Kris and I gotta share my recently acquired-and-resurected '87 Corolla :frknstein Ah, the simple joys of carbeuration....

True dat, Jervy. I'd just expect a car that based it's reputation on rally racing to be made of sterner stuff. Somebody might get the idea to take one offroad at high speed (shudder)
Sorry to hear about the tranny problems. Carbs are lotsa fun on cold mornings ;)

Now that I actually got a preheater hose in there, I can actually start it reliably in the cold. Unfortunately, damp/wet still poses problems, for both starting and running. Ah well. I didn't expect a well-maintained, properly adjusted car for the price I paid.

My main concern with it currently is getting the exhaust out the back and not the wheel well. I'm running Nor'easter straight pipes and rivalling the melon-launchers for exhaust noise. I have no right to make that much racket at the HP levels that li'l 4A-LC has.
