It is the Holden Monaro, but with a different grille (I think you knew that, but it was a little vague from your post) - apparently ours is too smooth for the US market.

I really don't like the nostrils the new grille's become...

Well well well, Aussies, it looks like you're not the only ones who can have any muscle cars - check the new Pontiac GTO out. Holden Monaro?
It's a Holden Monaro, just rebadged and a different grill. I said before (in a thread I made) that we'd send Monaros over to the US, they'd rebadge them and do a bit of bodywork on them.

Alfa!?! No way, try a BMW.

exactly, all BMW's have that split grill, it's like their trademark

alfas have like a downward triangle shapewd grill, that's like their trademark as well

i knew the yanks would **** them up. that looks really crappy.

we will be exporting 18000 per year to the states to be molestered by oversized bumpers and poofy grills.

well its about time we got a new muscle car. Cause we have no power cars except for the corvette, the nsx, and the s2000. so i'm really happy about this. :D :D :D  :P

I just rember reading in a mag a couple years ago that the Aussie were planning to bring back the El Camino. I guess ut was just a rumor.

I really like the 147 - I drove a Selespeed version a month ago and they are an absolute hoot to drive. The engine makes a proper noise, too.
