I fully modded my mustang cobra, and Im a total newb to tuning in gt3. I was wondering How come my gears are capping out my speed. I know it will go over 180 mph, but the gear ratios are wrong I think. Like it shoots to redline too fast in the gears and I cant get it to stay in 6th gear long.

You've gotta change the gear ratios. Use the auto adjustment settings for the ratios. You'll want to move the slider away from sports and a bit to the right. Mind you, you will be sacrificing low end acceleration for top end speed.

But not so much, if you use the Autosetting. Mostly what that does is spread the gears out more. Yes, the low gears get a little taller, but only a little. But the upper gears get a lot taller, giving you more top speed. The Cobra has plenty of torque and so it can tolerate wider spreads on the gearing.

The stock gearing is very tall on the Cobra R. When I ran the Polyphony Digital Cup in it, in 10 races I never touched 5th gear.
