Hi everyone,
I'm Simon, originally from Bournemouth on the South Coast of England but now living in London. I've been reading GT Planet for a couple of years now, making the odd post here and there but have finally registered!
I started playing GT with my friends on the PSone and being blown away by it. I believe we all raced each other with the GTO Twin Turbo. And what a revelation of finally having a driving game where you needed to use the brakes!!
I've recently got myself a Driving Force wheel and it's given F1 CE a brand new lease of life! I've just passed my driving test, too so I can properly appreciate the driving experience.
Other games I enjoy include the GTA series (been playing that since the first top-down one on PC), the Metal Gear series and Half-Life. I've been pretty loyal to Playstation but did have a 360 which broke down after 20 hours. Because I won it from McDonalds I haven't bothered to get it fixed!
On the subject of winning, I was at the PS3 launch at Virgin on Oxford Street, London - the day everyone was given a free 46 inch Bravia! If anyone else was there that night it'd be great to hear from you.
Now I've signed up to the community I hope to add some informed comments to the boards - I used to work for a (now defunct) entertainment retailer so might be able to add a little insider info as well...
