Hey GTPlanet members.

My name is Felipe though I'm Airjordan12345 here on GTPlanet. I'm 22 and I live in Ecuador (South America).

I love cars. I'm no expert or anything like that but I do enjoy a good racing game!

I never owned a Sony console in my life until about a year ago when I bought a PS2 as well as a PS3. The first game I got was Gran Turismo 5 Prologue off PSN.

Never really got into it that much, perhaps since it was my first Gran Turismo I never fully appreciated the beauty of the graphics, realism and physics. Besides, from what I've read now a full GT Game like GT5 will keep me entertained forever with all the tuning options, parts to buy, cars, photo and video galleries, online, GT TV (So I can watch even more Top Gear hehe) and more!!!

Anyways. A few months ago I bought a PSP and after beating God of War and Crisis Core it's been collecting dust.

About 2 weeks ago my dad went on a business trip to the USA, I grasped this opportunity to buy me some new games. I got me some of the new games like Halo ODST and Rock Band Beatles as well as MGS Portable Ops for PSP, a Wii game and some PS2 retro games.

But, along comes October 1 and I decided to buy Gran Turismo PSP so I can have some fun on the go...BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE!!!

It's the only game I play now, for several hours every day if possible!!!

I love how, even though there's no extended tuning and shopping mode, a photo gallery or even a career, I can't stop doing single player races and trying out new cars. I've already built a gorgeous collection of cars and I'm loving how it's kind of Gran Turismo for the noob (giving me an opportunity to learn more before GT5 comes out) !

I'm so psyched to have found GTPlanet, I'm already giving something back to the community as I'm building the Car, Dealership & Price cycle for those of you who started with the Honda Fit W '01 (Though with time I hope to add specs for cars, color options and so on, making it more than a guide for those who started with the Honda Fit!!!).

You can find it in the sticky here at the GTPSP forums.

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself since I basically check the forums for news and updates several times a day!

Thanks for reading,
Mr. Felipe

Hi Felipe and welcome, if you enjoy GT PSP so much you will absolutely love a full GT game. 👍

Nice to see new GT players coming along, exactly what Kazunori Yamauchi (Gran Turismo producer) wanted from the PSP version.

hi airjordan12345 and welcome to GTPlanet :)
feel free to browse the forum and post answers/questions if you have:9
If you need a guide for GTPSP, you can check my youtube channel about GT5,GT5p and GTPSP. Enjoy your stay :)

Hi, Felipe! Nice to see that you enjoy the game! Like Jay said, if you like this, you'll love GT5. Glad to see that you're giving back, and I hope to see you on here!

Wow!

Thank you all for your wonderful and encouraging replies. About the grammar, I try to do my best ^_^ I just hate it when I can't read a post because of horrible spelling or punctuation.

And yeah I'm definitely psyched about Gran Turismo.

Thanks for the heads up GTRufus, I just subscribed to your YouTube channel (I'm FelipeLaso)

If any of you ever wanna race online on GT5 or play something on XboxLive my PSN ID and Live Gamertag is FelipeLaso

Thanks again for your replies!

(:

Welcome! if you are interested, there is a GT PSP Time Attack Challenge league and tomorrow I will be starting a new league for the drifters in our community. Might want to check them out if you haven't already.

Is that going to use the Ad-Hoc Party or how do I participate and/or check it out?

I have been playing since GT3 (got the PS2 GT3 bundle) and have been in love ever since and I also love seeing new people playing. I got my brother into GT with the PSP version over the last week and he says GT5 is a day 1 purchase for him and his next pay period he is going to get his own copy of GT PSP. Anyway, glad to see new peeps and I am glad you love the game

Thanks for the link niigaki and thanks for the come somekindarobot!

GT5 has become a day 1 purchase for me as well (:

I might even take the plunge and get a racing wheel like the Logitec G25 or G27.

Ohh and Niigaki I might not be able to participate in the October 11-13 time trial because I don't have that car and I don't know when it will show up

:/

But it's definitely fun so I'll participate whenever possible!!!

Hey Felipe, welcome.

If want to taste some of the full GT experience, try and find yourself one of the previous games for your PS2. You should be able to play the PS1 games on it aswell. I would say GT2 is the easiest to get into quickly but GT4 is the most immersive overall. But it sounds like you'll be lucky to get any time for anymore games.

Either way, enjoy your stay and enjoy your games.

Thanks GTVeteran!

I played Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops a bit yesterday, but after 2 missions I went back to GTPSP hehe.

I'll keep you guys updated on my Honda Fit guide! It's on the 5th page of the sticky topic in the forums if any of you care to check out cars, dealers and prices

(:

Hey Yenrot.

Well even if it's not as cool or good as Peacewalker is shaping up to be. It's still part of the Metal Gear Solid Saga (Which I have completed) and is the prequel to Peacewalker (Hence why I haaaaad to have to have and have to finish it!!!)

I got the demo but it's in Japanese. And since it's a sequel I don't wanna spoil anything

(:

you must then prosseed to the nearest websearch program and go to ebay and get GT1, GT2, GT3 and 4. i suggest you play them in order. and if you like those then get the other asian/europe only releases.

Hehe I think I have my hands full with GTPSP!

Besides, I recently bought some classic PS2 games (Dirge of Cerberus, and the 3 Kingdom Hearts) as well as MGS Portable Ops, Rock Band Beatles, Wi Sports Resort, EA Grand Slam Tennis, Halo 3: ODST and GTPSP (and I also have Chrono Trigger DS, Zelda Twilight Princess and Pokemon Pearl).

So pleeeenty of games in my library as of now! I'm working my way through them slowly but steadily (Because GTPSP leaves little time for other games haha!)

Thanks for your suggestions though, I can't wait to get my hands on my PSP again and if possible on other GT Games!!!

Welcome to the forums, and enjoy your time!
I bought Dissidia a few weeks ago, just so I can pass the time for GTPSP (the demo was so fun, and I don't know crap about Final Fantasy, just a few Kingdom Hearts games).
