Hello! I'm 22 and I'm from Michigan.
I've been a long time lurker but just made an account recently. I heard of GTPlanet a longgggggg time ago through this other forum I go on(idforums.net). They use to make similar Time Attack events like the ones that are made here.
I started playing GT games when GT1 came out, but I wasn't really into racing games back then, so I played it casually. I didn't really get into racing games until I started playing Initial D Ver.2 in arcades back in 2003-2004. IDV2 pretty much made me obsessed with doing Time Attacks with most racing games I got my hands on.
Sadly, I don't use a steering wheel. My setup would require me to need a play seat if I wanted a wheel. I don't have a problem playing with the controller, but hopefully I'll be able to purchase a playseat + G27 soon.
Besides racing games, I enjoy most other genres besides sports games. Back in my high school years through my first two years at college, I sunk alot of money into arcade games such as the Initial D, Battle Gear & Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune series. Now that my arcade closed down I'm unable to play those games. Recently, I've been playing games like Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and Call of Duty: Black Ops until Gran Turismo 5 comes out.
I look forward to participating in Time Trial events. I also look forward to learning racing tips and strategies for GT5 as well as contributing my own. Who knows, maybe I'll get into photo mode this time around as well, so you might see pictures from me.
