Hey guys, I was on here during the GT4 era, but can't for the life of my remember what my alias was, let alone a password!

Basically, I didn't 'enjoy' GT4 yet found the Forza series offered an experience that felt more like my own experience of driving a car than GT4 ever did.

However, I'm a creature of impulse and have owned all of the PS1 and 2 GTs, but have held out on a PS3 as the only killer app so far for me has been Heavy Rain and that's not enough reason to buy an expensive console.

I was heavily into GT4's photomode and similarly I am into the Forza version. The photomode is the main draw for me to buy GT5, but I no longer enjoy the GT route of gaining licenses. I've seen this afternoon that they're are still in there, which could stop me buying it altogether, unless some obscure car I like is in it, such as 90s Vauxhalls or smaller-engined BMWs.

Anyhow, for those who appreciate Forza, here's my Flickr full of photomode pics. I like Flickr as it largely hides the stupid compression that MS imposes on the image uploads.

Welcome (back) to GTP 👍 I'm sure there are a few of us here who are maybe a little sceptical as to what GT5 has to offer, but I do expect that the pros will significantly outweigh the cons once all is considered :)

Great Forza shots, by the way.

Thank you.

I was hoping NFS Shift would have kept me interested as I'd have taken more shots from that game, but the 16-car Veyron race on the Nordschleife was ridiculous, with the cars crashing every corner and that's far too much madness for me to persevere with!

Welcome to GTPlanet :)

The licenses are very easy, at least to get Bronze. It takes no more than an hour or two in total to complete all of the licenses. You don't have to be hardcore and go for gold. I am aware i'm the guy who called you a troll, apologies.

I think that doing the licenses (Which only need to be done once) is a small price to pay for the game it unveils. It should be said that only prize cars are locked from the beginning. You can go out and buy any car presuming you have the money, and there has always been that race you can spam for easy money, as in all games where money is involved (Whether it be a quest or a mission or anything). The licenses are there to serve a purpose as a tutorial for newer players. And in order to compete in many real events you need a racing license of some sort. The Licenses in GT combine those two issues into one and are an integral part of the game.

Anyways, nice Forza pics. Especially like the SLK-55 pic from a distance, really looks lifelike 👍

[GTfanboy]Too bad it doesn't look that good in gameplay.[/GTfanboy]
