Hi, quick question

Hey guys, first time poster, long time reader.
Im interested in a good steering wheel for my ps3. I know there is the DFGT, G25 and maybe G27 soon. but my problem is i would like a wheel that works for almost everygame. for example i would like to play with GTA4, motorstorm,GRID, and NFS games andof course GT games. I tried the DFGT on my friends house but i noticed we couldnt play GTA4 and motorstorm good...

so my question is, is there is a good wheel that works for the games above and is up to my 150 budget. thanks i tried searching but i couldnt find a good answer

No, there isn't.

GTA4 can't be controlled unless you have analog sticks. That is unless you plan on beating the game without ever aiming a weapon. Not to mention you also need pressure sensitive triggers to switch between free aim and auto lock-on. Some games just aren't meant to be played with a wheel, sorry.

I know i didn't mean that, i mean, is is possible that maybe in a future update ( Logitech or i think game devs) it can be fixed with DFGT?

Not meaning to be rude, but use common sense. How in the world could they fix it via a software update? You'd need to design a completely different wheel for that. =/

If the game was not originally designed for the wheel, no amount of tinkering by the wheel manufacturer can have any effect.

no offense taken, how about ps3 software update, (I'm not 100% savvy on this either)
just like how you can change the button controls on gtp menu, maybe you can do it on the xmb?(like i said, i don't know if this can happen)
I would love if dfgt can do this, change buttons via xmb, but thats a long shot right?

either way I leaning towards DFGT more and more, so i might get that then.

The DFGT is a good wheel, you should get it. You just need to forget about playing games that weren't designed for it. Even if they updated the PS3 firmware and let you customize controls on the wheel itself, you couldn't map the weapon aiming or free look onto it -- you need hardware upgrades for that.
