ive heard that there are hidden stage 4 parts like turbos and the like, plus racing parts like the racing flywheel that are hidden in the game code, does anybody think PD will ever release the parts in a patch or when GT6 drops? i just dont understand why we dont have these parts available, if they even exist. since you can limit PP in online lobbies to keep performance levels between cars somewhat even, i dont think it would be game-breaking nor would it kill singleplayer racing. i mean, no such thing as too many parts, right? i just want to see what you all think about it, maybe if enough people want them to release the parts they will patch them in or make a DLC that unlocks them. (i wouldnt pay much for it with GT6 around the corner, but i wouldnt mind dropping a few bucks for some stage 4 turbo lag lulz)

Where HAVE you been? There are/were stage 4 turbos, super soft racing tyres, etc. available by hacking your gamesave. PD have largely stopped this online though.

Welcome to :gtpflag: :)

A reminder and heed this carefully. We do not talk about any specifics about hybriding or hacking the game save is done. Do not ask how it's done, go to the web and do a search everything you need is there. Good luck.

This....
Not the point of them caring or not. Here let me inform you about the hidden parts.

What a lot of people keep forgetting (or don't actually know), is that these hidden parts are actually used for different cars.

For example is something I had spent a lot of time testing.

The hidden tires.

As we all know there are Type V and Type C tires for every single car in GT5. Each car for every grade of tire has either, Type C, Type V, or a combination of both by default.

Type V- A tire that has grip in the inline direction.

Type C- A tire that has grip in the horizontal direction.

I tested about 50 cars throughout GT5. Here's a example of the car that is fresh in my mind.

Grand Touring Trans Cammer.

By default it has Type C tires in the front and Type V tires in the rear.

So for the tires, they are technically not hidden, but used by default.

Reason is to duplicate different types of grip that the car has in real life. Which I hope this changes with the new tire model in GT6.

---

Same senaryo for the rest of the hidden parts.

The racing catalytic converter racing flywheel, and racing clutch for example are all used in certain cars by default.

These parts are used on race cars or RM cars by default. This is the reason why when you look at the drive train part for the Mazda 787B, you don't see the flywheel or clutch. It is installed by default.

Just because they are not able to be changed manually, doesn't mean that PD doesn't care about its fan base. They have their own reasoning, and from testing has made me understand this reasoning.

no no no, dont want to know lol i like being able to go online too much for that....... and Jaywalker, i havent been able to play enough to notice for quite a while since i started college,,, first i saw of any hackers on GT5 was a chick in a purple 97 supra with the spoiler shaved off (which i wish we could do anyway, soooo sexy), after her turbo kicked in and she could catch some traction she blew the doors off my speed-tuned Minolta on a nurburgring straightaway pull, was jelly to the core

I know you don't care to use them. I posted that in another thread talking about the hidden parts. So I just copied and pasted it.

It basically is explaining what they are and how they are used it the game by PD themselves.

You're like... a year late.

It's been patched now, for the second (3rd?) time.

@Gedi69 Nobody liked the stupid 999mph cars, but what's wrong with a realistic engine swap, a 6-speed instead of a 5-speed, or a drivetrain swap?

Because its still a hack and cheating when it comes to specs, yeah it's ok if you want it for personal cruising and showing off but when it comes down to close fair racing I give it a big 👎

For the millionth time wrong, wrong, wrong. Leaving aside the cars with massive HP (3500+) that broke the PP system, any engine swaps, added downforce etc. etc. etc. would affect the PP level of the car. You could not take a piece of junk and make it into a world beater you could only make good cars competitive.
