Historic Tracks

What about them? Are you suggesting something like the Fuji 80s/90s/05 combinations from GT4? This sort of thing came up in the wishlists for GT4, there was a bit of support for the old 12-km Spa and a few others, but they were pretty much included in the track wishlists.

As much as I'd love GT5 to include venues like the old Hockenheim, the old Silverstone and Riverside, PD probably wouldn't include them due to the fact that they couldn't visit them to take pictures and measurements because those tracks have been torn up, covered up, etc.
However, tracks like the old Spa, the old Monza "roval" and the AVUS remain pretty much intact, so those sorts of circuits could theoretically be included. Just my 2 cents, though I'd be over the moon if they could somehow include a photorealistic, accurate-down-to-the-inch Riverside because, as nice as the roval at California Speedway is, it's still a roval! :irked:

GOODWOOD!!! i love that place, it would be like hosting your very own revival meeting or festival of speed! Cigars and Pimms anyone?

I saw your thread last week and was thinking that most famous tracks have been duplicated in either GT or some other racing game. I think it would be great if GT5 included the Bathhurst race/track that we have in Australia. Therre are loads of other internationally recognised tracks here in OZ including Eastern Creek and Phillip Island

I think Spa would be cool, as well as Sudscheleife.
I would also like to see Grindewald back, even though it isn't real (or is it?).

Not only have the older tracks included in the game, have the enviroment and facilities the same as they were in the older days. I've seen pictures of the old Spa circuit and the surrounding countryside really shows just how up and down the circuit was, a feeling you no longer get.

Also, someone point PD in the direction of GPL and show them all the tracks from that :sly:

I would like to see more versions of the Sarthe circuit like the early 60's version before the ford chicanes were added and the "White House" section was still there. It would be cool to race the original circuit and the Bugatti circuit too.

It'd be nice to have the old Sudscliefe. I've seen some old pictures of it, and it looks like it was a right hoot. Shame much of it has gone.

Some pics here. I've inlcuded one below.
