It does provide useful information, I think it might deserve a sticky.

Not really. All it tells us is the dates various circuits were used, which, if you were absolutely dying to know, could be found in Wikipedia. It isn't even crrect; the Dallas Grand Prix was held at Fair Park in 1984, not 1982. I'm sorry, but it's just a list of names and dates. I doesn't tell us anything useful, interesting or detailed. Stickies are for important threads, and the 2010 driver market discussion doesn't even get that. So why should this one?

I saw a race at that Fair Park circuit on Classic F1, what a tight and twisty and bumpy circuit asd well

No, I agree with interludes, it really doesn't provide any useful information at all. We simply don't need a list of all the tracks that have been used in F1. How does starting up a thread like this benifit the community here at Gtplanet, maybe I should start one listing all the drivers who have ever driven for Ferrari. I could just pinch it from Wikipedia and pretend I know them all.:sly:

I could also throw out there that many GPs were held before these dates, as non-championship races. For example, there were Pescara Grands Prix for many years before and after, from pre-WWII up until 1960, but only the 1957 race was a championship round (due to other race cancellations).

Also, there was no "Detroit Grand Prix" in 1987 and 1988; it was the United States Grand Prix held at the Detroit Street Circuit.

Useful information that could help the list would be:

Track length - (alterations)
Yearly driver winners / Manufacturers
Qual times
Progression of lap record

I'm sure others would have idea's too.

Sure it'll take some work but then it'll be quite useful & interesting

Interesting info. One correction about the Portuguese GP in 59. The track's name is "Monsanto", not "Mosato"

btw, that race, as the previous in 58, was won by Stirling Moss. Jack Brabham won in 1960

Add to that weather conditions and if any changes were made to the circuit then it would be a useful tool for comparing different years cars.
