History of WRC/Rally in general

I am doing a presentation on rally racing and I can't find very many sites on it. If you know any good sites or anything cool about the history of WRC/Rally post it. I already checked out www.rallycars.com which has a ton of great of info but it doesn't have a whole lot of info about very early rallying and how it started.

I think the first recorded rally was when some nimrod decided to go off the road with his Ford Model T, and thought between banging his head on the roof and whacking into the windshield, "Hey! This is pretty ****ing fun!"

hahahahhahah!!!

Oh man, that was great.

If you can, find "The history of Rallying: 50 years going sideways". on DVD.

That has a TON of info.

Also, search up Group B, Lancia, and Audi for some awesome info on some old powerhouses.

Update: The complete history of the WRC is availible in a book under that exact name.

Picked it up myself about 2 weeks ago...it was $80CDN. Well worth the money...tells you everything you want to know, from ever driver and cars profie since 1970, to every country that's held a WRC event. Also includes the history leading up to, and beyond the WRC's first rally.
