Hello everyone, I seem to have stumbled apon a very interesting site ^_^. I'm not big on the message board thing so... uhh forgive me if I sound stupid. My name is Joe, im from New York City... 19 years of age....been playing gt3 for about a year now.

After watching Initial D I was pretty much hooked on drifting, so I started to try and emulate exhibition drifts on GT3. Watched a few drift videos from gtplanet this weekend... and I realized how much more I have to learn.. and went back to drifting some more ^_^

Great to see theres so many people interested in drifting.... I never knew places like this existed =P This place seems very interesting I think I will stick around. Nice to meet you all. Below are some small drift clips I've uploaded to my web server. Feel free to download um and give me your opinion... just don't be too harsh! =P Eh... i hope I do this right

Hi lifesteam welcome to the forum

new york wouldnt have many places to try drifting out for real would it?
i live in australia and go out all the time(when i got tyres)
otherwise i drift on GT3

hopefully GT4 will allow me to hold drifts longer, IMO it seems too easy to just slide straight off the track

and now the redone the engine i hope they dont bugger it up

as far as I know, theres no place to drift here in the city. I mean theres a few parking lots but I haven't seen anyone drift in NYC at all.... Cops are really bad here also... so drifting isn't advisable around here =p And If i did find a place to drift here, I couldn't because I have a buick regal lol =p

i plan on it Got a small little racing drift done. Just need to get sideways some more for a good exhibition. I'll be in it for sure... just need to get in touch with seomeone whos running the thing... ill get um on aim eventually.

I think they are worth it =P I have around 200 Drift videos on my memory cards. I was planning n making a drift video but ...well... im not so good with video editing software, and these were all encoded with XviD codec so they don't agree with adobe premiere.... im not sure how to do smooth transitions between drift clips so making a video seems to be impossible for me. Btw if you can't view those videos you need the Nimo Codec pack, and when your installing it make sure XViD is one of the options checked inside the installation under Video Codecs. If you guys wanna see whole laps I will be glad to upload um, just need to figure out which ones are good enough =P

props on the drifting man... and does anyone know how to get into drift tourney's? i don't really know anything about competitions but i consider myself pretty good at drifting, and i wanna meet more people that skillfully play this game...but anyways... nice videos...

nah not in real life.... but in the game yea..... ummm i'm aware of the competition, however, i don't have the technology to get my vids on my computer =/... the competition is a very good idea... to me, there is a downside to it. if people have all that time to produce a clip for the competition, then EVERYONE's clip would be really good cuz there's room for error. they can keep drifting until it's perfect, and then send in their clip. it would be better (to me) if you only get like 2-3 tries on producing your clip for the competition, but then there would be no one enforcing that. well i dont know if what just said made sense to you guys...(i hope it did). and i dont think this message has anything to do with this thread but oh well...

lifestream, I noticed you're on the professional bracket in the competition. Why not go the amateur, it might be cool to have two RZ's battling it out.
