Hockenhiem is in FM4

I wonder if they'll include the old Hockenhiem with the long straights.

Looking good. 👍

Did I just see a Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo2?? I was hoping this car wouldn't disappear and now..

Also saw the Audi RS4 and Audi TT-RS coupe. JOOOOOOOOOOOOY!

Wait what? Why?

But I would definetly prefer the original 190 E.

Just a personal thing of certain cars are bound to get cut (potentially) and I hope none are the ones I want. I also like the fact that it's not DLC too. I'm fine with the original 190E but the 190 that is an icon is the 2.5-16v evo2

Man there's more juice in the "B-Roll" than the real vid. That's the good stuff right there. I just wonder how "B" is the "B-Roll"? Anyone see the backfire? Hot stuff, pun intended ;) lol

Yup, that was one thing I really enjoyed seeing in Dirt3 and Shift 2. I use the in-car view but the replays are much better.

FM3 felt like a stop-gap, albeit a very good one. By the standard of this, they must have practically worked on both at once!

The old layout would've been amazing but it would be too good to be true. I'm just keeping hope for Nurb 24hrs and Spa.

T10: You know, that track in Belgium? That everybody have been talking about and wished for for years? That would be a game mover because you would be the only relevant console game to have it? That would give you a great name? You know... Spa Francorchamps?

PRETTY PLEASE?

99% doubt it. It's another amazing track which has become poor (in my opinion) due to that Tilke bloke or whoever removing the forest section (and greenery has grown over the old track since).

I read somewhere that it was F1's decision to remove the forest section so that fans could see more of the action. And, if you look at T10's website, they're not gonna use the old version. Just 3 variations of the newer course.

Yes, exactly this. The problem was once the cars left the stadium section they disappeared into the forest for most of the lap, out of view of the spectators. The FIA told the circuit owners to make the track more spectator friendly or risk losing the F1GP at Hockenheim. In came Tilke to oversee the redesign.

The old Hockenheimring was a throw-back to the old days of motor racing when the circuits were long, fast and dangerous. As awesome as it was, it just didn't fall in line with the FIA's remit for safe, modern, spectator friendly circuits.

I can't say that I can support that statement. I'm not quite sure what you're implying with the use of the term "relevant", but some major console releases have included Spa, including F1 2010, GRID, and Shift, off the top of my head. While those may not be racing games of interest to you personally, they were of interest to plenty of people.

Otherwise I see no reason for T10 not making it when almost every post in Track Wishlist section of FM Forum was asking for it.

tribolik
Codemasters have SPA in their games as does System 3...

Turn10 know what they need to do for DLC this year then. As has been said before, which track routinely appears on fan's wishlists?.........Spa.

Sorry but Shift2 did Spa justice.

The circuit was good, if not entirely accurate, but that wasn't my point.

Although I like Shift 2, the driving physics are not in the same league as GT5 or Forza. Basically I want to race Spa in a racing sim. Let's face it, Shift 2 (even by the developer's own admission) veers more towards an arcade spin on racing.

I'd love to see a more detailed version of Spa using FM4's graphics engine, and drive it using a more sim-orientated physics engine.

I believe it was pretty accurate...but I have not driven on it in real life, so I cant say for sure, have you?

Not to turn this into game vs game argument, but S2's physics are very good, even better in some areas than others. Can you please show me where the devs EVER stated its more arcade? I recall totally different.

I would love to see Spa in F4 as well though.

Well, T10 did say they will reveal an new older track next week. Let's see what it could be!
