Holden Volt 2012

The Holden Volt uses a 1.4 Litre 1,398cc inline 4 cylinder Petrol engine and electric motors, with this combined system it produces an amazing 149 BHP directed straight to it's front wheels. The volt uses a 1 Speed automatic transmission.

This car rivals the Toyota Prius in it's hybrid dynamics.

0 - 100 km/h = 8.9 secs
Top Speed = 160 km/h (Limited)

Quick question: Is the Volt also sold as a Chevrolet in Australia?

I ask because in Europe, you can buy a Chevrolet Volt, or the Opel Ampera (Vauxhall Ampera in Britain). The Ampera is the exact same car with a slightly different from bumper.

You can't get a Chevrolet Volt here but Holden will be more than happy to take your money for a Holden Volt.
Guess what. It's the same car in RHD for a whole lot more money.

Only sold as a Holden, got ya.

But you do have to remember, a Volt in the states is $34,185 , and you have to use more expensive premium fuel for it.

On your end, the cars are built in Detroit, and shipped to Australia with Holden badges on it in RHD and has a ridiculous price tag of $62,598 US.

Sounds like you would probably would be better off buying a Chevrolet Volt and then importing it, even though GM will hate you for it and you are forced to drive a car that is RHD in a country that drives on the left side of the road.

Thought I'd upload some Ampera photos for a comparison.

We only have 2 Holdens in GT right now so the Holden Volt will do but then we wouldn't have the Chevrolet Volt. Damn...

No. It would be like asking if the Chevrolet Volt was also sold as the Holden Volt in the US. You would still get the same answer no matter what.

Mark my words, if PD adds this car to GT, they'll also add the Opel, Vauxhall and Chevy versions of it.
