I never thought I would see the day...
I seriously sat glued to the TV for more than an hour, watching and giving commands like it actually meant something! I really hope I can find more events like this that actually make B-Spec interesting.
I am talking about the Gran Turismo World Championship at lvl 14. I entered it with a lvl 13 B-Spec driver by the name of J.Hendrix driving a Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo w/ only an oil change done to it. Used the Racing Hards that came with the car and let me tell you, this championship was exciting (for the first time in all of the B-Spec races that I've done).
The first two races were especially exciting. The Circuit de la Sarthe came down to a battle between my Diablo and the Mclaren F1 GTR Race Car. My Driver stuck to his bumper nearly the entire race, and finally overtook for first place on the 4th and final lap about 30 seconds before the finish line.
The most exciting race of course was the 2 laps at the Nürburgring where the Team Oreca Viper was most impressive. It was the Mclaren F1 1st, the Oreca Viper 2nd, and My Diablo 3rd for the first lap and a half. Finally passed the Viper in the Carousel and then it was two. Went screaming down the straight with the F1 perfectly side by side, he took the inside on that first corner, then made a slight mistake on the second to last corner and Hendrix took the lead just before the final corner.
I honestly jumped up and down screaming with excitement at a B-Spec race. Has this happened to anyone else? Up until this point B-Spec has been agonizing and only a means of getting free cars! I'm so glad I chose to use a more evenly matched car (I could have just used my FGT and walked away from the TV).
Also, this was the first time that my driver didn't make a single mistake. Through an hour and a half of driving he never spun out once, never went off the track, never hit any walls (sadly this DID happen a lot before this series...)
