I made this thread just because someone else would, so you can pretty much consider it as damage control move :D.

Tokyo, Foster City, London, December 10, 2008 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that its highly anticipated PlayStation®Home Beta service for PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) will become available for all PS3 users around the world *1 on December 11, 2008. Following the successful completion of the closed beta service, PlayStation Home’s open beta service will continue to evolve with new features and functionality.

So, could the final implementation of Home lead us to real GT5:P sections (as Far Cry 2 mentioned in full press-release), toghether with Private Lobbies and such?

We'll find out in days to come.

Also notice this thread is not intented to become a wishlist of any kind, nor a place to discuss a working reverse lights. So, please sustain from mentioned, because the sole purpose of this thread is just information about the Home and small speculation regarding Private Lobbies. Thanx in adv.

Can we have flashing hazzard lights, for when damage is finally included and our car is broken. :dopey:

This isn't a pay for service feature is it?:odd:

If so, what ever happens advances can only be good, right?:)
 
Anybody have idea how they could use Home for creating private races?

I can only imagine that if you are part of, example GTP-club, then you log in to that 'club' and start your GT5P, and there is only club-members in Game then.

Any other guesses... or knowledge?
 
I've been checking in on the japanese gran turismo site every single day. I always hope to see some crucial updates, not online events or GT-TV news!

just read on a dutch ps3-site that sony expect Home to be launched together with the usuall thursday store update...so somewhere in the late afternoon/early evening....👍

I think PD will have something ready to drop for Home Beta use - pure optimistic guess. However, hasn't the game launching from within Home been disabled in the current closed beta? i.e. the only game that could be configured before launch was Warhawk, which no longer does. I read that somewhere!
 
If it was another game we were on about then I reckon we would get private lobbies tomorrow, but it's Gran Turismo and PD we are dealing with here so expect somthing in the Future.

In fact it probabaly won't be ready for this version of Home, I reckon by the time its released Home will be called "Retirement Home" and we won't be bothered to much as we'll all be in our retirement homes along with our zimmer frames and incontinance pads etc.

The wait goes on.......................

Nothing immediately I believe.

...but, when youre not driving in those few tracks what we have, middle of punters, your virtual race-driver can sleep and relax in nice decorated virtual-apartment.

That dude has really deserve that. Lets hope it will lower lap-times.

so then i don't need it. cos when i'm not driving my ps3 is off
 
This for anyone that doesn't have "HOME" be ready for this info I've got Home beta it requires 3GB on your Hard Drive.Home beta uses about 77 Mb. The 3 GB's is for future "Home Use". Total 3077 Mbs.
