Indeed. If and when that car comes to market as intended, it will be a 2016 car - when it's brand new, look at the year we're in.

This concept is brand new now. It's being shown in New York right now. And since it's the concept being nominated - because we only suggest actual cars - it should be taken as brand new now.

Yes, the concept is a 2015 concept, but it's a showcase for the 2016 production release. Which I'm pretty sure is what the OP was referencing.
