This is on-show regularly in the UK. The first time I saw it I was literally speechless with amazement.

Then it hit me: the true sadness is that I could probably name every single car part in the ad!

Apparently it cost over £800,000 to make, it took 606 takes to shoot, and it isn't faked, or CG-enhanced.

Could the free-air audio speakers really create that much movement...they seemed to move around a lot?

Even if it was faked; it's still an impressive ad. Even if there won't be an Accord Wagon in the US...

For those that wonder, the tires really did go uphill by themselves.
I did wonder about that, as well as the speakers. Especially since the tires went off-screen at the left as they were rolling to the right. But it is way cool anyway.

To confirm what Guthrie said, the papers state the ad was completed in a "single take" with no touch-ups, but it took 606 takes for that one perfect one...

but the preassure sensative windows whats that about
If you look at the ad closely, you'll notice that the cylinder that rolls into the window runs over 2 strips of metal to complete a circuit which gives power to the window so that it can go down.

Also, the wheels that roll uphill had nuts and bolts attached to their insides so that they would roll up the ramp.

It's actually perfectly possible to make wheels go uphill - and if you look closely you can see the further reason why it worked (although massive weights in the tops is very helpful too... :D)

If, rather than a single piece of wood/metal, you get two thin pieces and place them so that the gap between them tapers as they slope downhill, you can place a wheel between them and it will go uphill of it's own accord.

This works better if the wheel diameter ALSO narrows the further from the centre it is. Effectively the centre of gravity drops, even though the slope is uphill.

If you don't believe me, go to Jodrell Bank visitor's centre.

Actually, anyone checking the Kontraband site, you should note it's in the "Animations" section, rather than the "TV Ads" section.

Buggered if I know why though...
