It will be for serious/clean racers only and will follow the GTP OLR to ensure fair and fun racing. With the following specs

Tuning- Prohibited (SPEC RACING)

Power- 502hp (stock with oil change exactly)
Weight- 1100kg (Stock)

Tire Wear/ Fuel Consumption- On
Slipstream Strength- Weak
Penalties- Off
Tire Restrictions- Racing Hard
Damage- Heavy
Boost- Obviously Off
All aids off except ABS-1

Laps ~ 10-15 (20-40min races depending on turnout)

There will be enough time to practice (at least 30min), and will hold a 10-15min qualifying session before racing at the following tracks:

Suzuka (Dry weather)

Daytona Road Course

I feel like Spec Racing will be a good way to test out the work PD has done in producing this car in the virtual world.

So far it seems they've done a great job (besides engine sound), it's a great car, and my new personal favorite super GT car

I am interested in this, but I suggest trying out mediums before using hard tires. The car might be very hard to drive stock. Just my opinion though.

Most likely we'll be using hards, I've never driven a car in GT5 that needed mediums, most actually can do with sports soft but we'll see.

I'm actually not a good driver. I'm quite slow. Plus Super GT cars are some of the easiest to handle in the game, I don't see why this one would need extra grip.

I'll have the room open for a while as well

IRL SGT's have phenomenal grip. Not sure racing HARD tires are quite the level the real life cars are, I don't have a problem with them, but lots of people will be curious why you're running them especially now with the new tire wear. They'll last the whole race!

Will they really? I'll test it out during practice

They will last the entire race yes but most Super GT series use racing hards so no one will care. Sadly UK doesn't have the cars yet..

Yea that's what I was thinking. The series I've raced in used hards and heavy damage as well.

Wish I knew about the EU PSN store not updating until wednesday, I may have reconsidered even making a thread about this

Around Motegi in practice with 500hp after the oil change, the car gets into the 1:52's (quick practice without a tune) The real life cars were just testing at Motegi and were in the 1:43's. Though they do have around 550hp this year.
