I was doing the recently added Seasonal Event which is a race with B-Spec drivers. After losing with Nissan cars, I tried Honda NSX. Car was just for the job, but i came across two versions of the car Year 06 and 08. And since I were in need of money, I did some testing along between those two versions.
P.S. Same driver for both races and driver was in excellent condition both races.
I changed oil, put a Mid RPM turbo, max aerodynamics and then limited engine power till I came to 600PP. And so results :
Honda Raybrig NSX '06 ====================== Honda Epson NSX '08
1100kg ================================= 1150kg
------------------------------POWER---------------------------------
487BHP ================================= 507BHP
6400rpm ================================ 7100rpm
---------------------------TORQUE----------------------------------
66kgfm/5300rpm ========================== 63kgfm/5500rpm
And this made me wonder which one is the best, it's clear that '08 is more powerful, but it weighs 50KG more. I was pretty sure that NSX '08 will be better, but no. Very similar results, but NSX '06 slightly faster overall and has by 0.217seconds faster best lap.
Honda Raybrig NSX '06 ====================== Honda Epson NSX '08
Best lap - 2:29:410 ======================== Best lap - 2:29:627
Full time - 26:23:259 ======================= Full time - 26:26:527
I know you might think that it was dumb A.I. driving and opponents are not the same every time, and that B-Spec driver makes mistakes, but there were really little mistakes made by my driver and in 1st lap NSX '08 got to a higher spot than '06 did. And very weird note that in the same lap and same place both cars got to 1st spot. Lap 5/10 end of sector 2.
And winner is Honda NSX '06. When maxed out it gives more power than NSX '08, but this was a comparison with 600 Performance Point restriction. But IMO Honda NSX '08 performed better, it just probably didn't get a chance to draft
