Sounds pretty good to me. :)

Only one problem, which every one knows already. There's already a bunch of events and the activity isn't really high atm.. But definitely worth a try in my opinion. 👍

Ok, so i guess with already 7 Yes vote's ill start for coming weekend an online event.

I know there are lots of events already, but what i was getting bored of was the fact that there are mainly road car events, no really racing car events.

I will contact Dutch Customs to provide drivers here with his tune.

Ill report back shortly.

Chris

Yeah I'll give it a go. Amuse S2000 on S2s sounds like a real handful...I like a challenge 👍

Update

Spoke with Lars from DC Tune and he will provide tunes for everyone.

As soon as he has them ready i will post them here and we start this weekend with Friday-Saturday-Sunday.

Will post news shortly again

Chris 👍

I tried this last night with GTP_JvM and we had a blast. The car is awesome on S2, loads of grip but if you get cocky, it really whips around and stings. We had so many close encounters, the racing was brilliant.

Far far easier than the Tuned 111R around here on S2s, even easier than the Lotus on S3s!

I definitely would like to see this event up and running 👍

All the best
Maz

You can count me in aswell. Also I think when we do start the event, it would be a good idea to pull over at the start of the race and wait 15, 20 or 30 seconds on the starting grid. But its up to you Chris. 👍

wow 18 YES votes. great. I am still waiting for the tunes from Lars, but they should arrive within tomorrow, so we'll me set for the weekend!

I suggest 20 seconds delayed start is the best option. (great success in RoC)

Coming back with more news tomorrow!

Cant wait to get that S2000 with you guys haha

Chris 👍

I can understand that with cars far under the max PP it is reasonable to start with a delay because the cars are so much slower.

But with the same PP as the other cars on the grid it is a different story.
Personally when I end up in a race where a group is delaying their start to have a race of there own,I have not a nice feeling about it.

Instead of a start with 8 cars I go in the first corner with one,for example.
I also read on other forums about arrogant attitudes because those delayed groups didn't want to race with others.

Today's racers aren't the punters from the beginning of GT5P ,let them race against the amuse.

I can see your point very well sjaak.

But, the S2000 is about 4 seconds/lap slower than the faster cars like Clio.
And with S2's it's much slower in the corners and faster on straights. So I'm not sure, if i was the guy in the Clio (racing cleanly and not forcing/punting my way past slower cars) when I had to stay behind in corners, and on straights, couldn't overtake because the car ahead is much faster on straight, was very happy about that situation either.

Edit: By the way. I'd be happy to try this now if anyone is on. :)

I don't like to see a 20 seconds delayed start either. As long as we don't have private rooms we just have to deal with other racers being around on the track.
It's your choice to use S2's, then please also accept the consequences of that choice. If you don't want to race the other cars, just let them pass. Only don't delay the start. It causes accidents (especially with S2 tyres) and others see it as a form of elitism.

Yeah, like I said in my post, I was willing to wait at start to avoid others having bad consequenses from us running slower ahead of them.

But very well, we can cancel the dealyed start and just let faster cars past.

I had a couple of races last night with the S2000 on S2s and I thought it would be a real handful, but it really isn't. It has a lot more grip than I was expecting and if you do end up getting it sideways it is easy to bring it back again!!

I'll be on for a few more races tonight, what sort of times are we looking at starting...joined at :00 and :40 last night and not a GTP tag to be seen :(

Ok,everyone.

Now i am a little confused.

Shall we have a 20 sec delayed start, or start with the pac?

Could anyone please explain to me, how i can edit the title of my thread.

Timings

What do you all think if we make it 00:15-00:45

Looking forward for tonight!

Chris

I think we should go with the pack and if faster cars are getting held up behind then it should be up to them to get past...without punting preferably 👍

xx:15 and xx:45 sounds just fine to me

In for some!!! :)

Is there an "official" tune out yet? (DC, BH, TLD... ?)

My 2 cents worth wrt waiting at the start: I'm also not in favour of waiting. Causes some hectic the start, is considered arrogant by other as some have mentioned quite rightly, and besides all that in real life (and GT is supposed to be a simulation, right?) different classes at Le Mans and the like also all start together (ok, I admit there the grid is determined over quali times and not random or your internet connection, but nevertheless....)
To cut it short: I vote for nailing it at countdown "0" !

But to complicate this a bit ;) : Pitstop or not ???

As far as tunes go I'm using the TLD tune that was originaly made for 750pp, and just dropped the ride height, slapped some S2s on there and adjusted the power and weight to 650pp.

A pitstop...I think that could spice things up a bit 👍

was just online at :15 and there was some other non GTP driver with a s2000 and i have to tell u, what a fun race!

Anyone one?

Chris

The pit stop thing could make it very interesting. It would be nice if you have to make a pit stop once through the race whether it's on lap one or lap 10 obviously we would need trust worthy members but you could work it out. This would offer a bit of Strategy "when do I pit?"

i was thinking about that too. I will add it in the first post that 1 pit stop is mandatory

Chris 👍
