And a movie!

(i used the search, didn't find anything.)

Well, techinacally yes.You could play it with an Xploder or Gameshark. In any way you will have to use one of the mentioned cheat code devices in order to play it.But if i was you i wouldn't bother with it.GT4 is 2 months away anyway.

Hello Dodrive,

There was a cheat disc that came with a magazine called P2 (in the UK) a couple of months back... I got one, but it didn't work with my PS2 :indiff: , so I gave it to a mate, and it did work on his (newer) PS2, but oddly it didn't work on his other, even newer, silver PS2 :ill:. In other words, if you have a black PS2 that is newer than a Version 1.0, it should work, and you can unlock Hong Kong... so you might want to try badgering the makers of P2 magazine for a back issue (with the disc), or as GTChamp2003 says, wait for the full version....

By the way, the AI is terrible on the HK circuit, and there is no lights on the cars... that said, it's a great circuit, even in the unfinished state, and I totally sympathise with you wanting to play it NOW!!!!!! It's worth a try....

TM

You could also copy the whole disc to your pc extract the GT4.vol and replace One of the other track files with the HongKong track.

But yeah.

Just one qestion: where are those shots of the Start/Finish Line taken? It shows the Line on a left and turn one is a right-angled left after a straight. But if the Line is near Pit Lane (centre of map), then the first turn can't be a 90° bend ... minor but interesting. Very interesting.

Unless PD's doing a Long Beach Grand Prix-style track where the Line is half a lap from the Pits for safety reasons, I can't work it out. But even if PD has done this, I still can't work out where the Line is. There just isn't a left sweeper followed by left 90° corner anywhere.

Do you race?

Pics 1-3 (above) are on the start/finish line. I've indicated the position in the other thread in the GT4:P section....

Are you meaning the turn in the distance as shown in another pic?? If so, the other pics are taken elsewhere on the circuit, and are not anywhere near the start-finish straight, hence why you might be getting confused...

Turn One on the HK circuit is an acute RIGHT hander, that leads into the sweeping 'harbour' section, consistent with the pic below... hope this helps!

Edit... pit entrance marked by green arrow, pit exit along the direction of the red arrow, leading out on to start-finish 'straight' that is actually a long slight left handed curve, as per pictures above...

Thank you, TM. The curved Start/Finish Line like in Surfer's Paradise threw me. However,

The pictures taken elsewhere have a lap time of one second, so I'm still a little in the dark. Or is it just my ignorance?

That's a very good point, but you'll also notice that the car appears to be on two very different sections of straight (you can see the blue dot car position thingy on the circuit maps), and yet they're only half a second apart ?!? .... so I think it must be some sort of time freeze hack... strange nonetheless....

I think that's the split time and not the actual lap time.He could aslo be running a freeze timer code, who knows.

Race Idiot
Yep.
Although I just made an ISO file and transferred it straight to my PS2's HDD.

Best way to do it 👍 Also, you can get Capri, Paris rally & tarmac, incomplete Nurb and the modified old tracks Midfield, Grand Valley and Deep Forest.

Sorry, but I can't see what you mean. I never liked the Hong ong track for good reason - I'm red/green colour-blind so that straight with the neon lights is just a jumble of colours that I can't make heads or tails of. Yes, I know the dot is blue, but all the colour around it makes it hard to see.

I thought this thread was meaning someone figured out how to get Hong Kong out of GTP with no codes. Then I saw this at the top: 06-07-04 :P
