I came on here and made about 10-15 friends or so just for bspec racing. But not all of them host games. The same few hosts and I host too because I feel like I shouldn't just take things for free. Well, I've not made nearly as much as some people claim on here. I guess I don't hoard enough friends to do that. Anyway, if I'm only making less than a million credit per day. How much hosting should I return the favor. I said that I was going to cut down to 2 days per week while I'm at work, but that still sounds a lot for what I'm getting.

The reason I'm in bspec is because I think I've reached my limits in aspec. I can't win the nascar extreme and the fgt extreme. A wheel might help do better, but don't have the room for it and my kid probably won't let me play in peace. Only done a couple of endurance races because I don't have time in one sitting to finish it. Future updates may solve that.

Hey Nxp3,

As one of your hosts, I should let you know that I'm gonna be offline for the next day or so, but after that should be back at full strength hosting again. :)

I think the updates that Yonis is working on for the widget will help with the hosting/leaching problem you mentioned. I look at it from a different perspective - even if folks are not hosting as much as I am, they are still helping me by rounding out the field to 16 (as sometime other hosts' Bobs are otherwise engaged). Having a larger field gives everyone more credits. 👍

Thanks,
OCMike123

hey OCMike123, I check the logs and you are one of the regular hosters :) Not a problem with you ahhaha.

you could add me if you want, mikeesf is psn, I plan to host a couple days a week during the days, and evenings and weekends when I have time I dont have too much room on my friends list

i just gave it a week and if i can't see anyone hosting my bobs i would have no problem removing them.
since i have the auto remote race it's easy to return the favor to people who do host my bobs, but it mostly chooses the people it shouldn't :), there is a neat future update that should fix it

NxP3 you should add my account as my friend only using my PS3 for GT5 when he comes over. I do the hosting for him lol add Warsteiner80

How the hell do you make that much? I haven't cashed my Bobs in for 2 days and according to the My Home page I have around 300k to collect.

that's what I'm wondering. People are saying they make over a million in less than a day, but I never got that much. 600k is probably my max per day of hosting and remote racing. My bobs are levels are in the 30s.

i added loads of people from here for hosting Bspec races but i have the same problem, it seems only a handful of them return the favour. i've been keeping track of people who haven't hosted a race with my drivers at all & will be removing them soon, as for people who host my drivers thank you very much i have been making about 1mil a day for the last week.

if anyone hosts lots of races & would like somone on their PSN that also hosts almost every day/night then please feel free to add me :)

To maximize payout, you really have to make sure every single bob is being raced full time over 24 hours and in as large a racing field as possible. Admittedly, it's hard to accomplish, when for the most part, people are randomly choosing friends/drivers to use.

i've made over 1.5 million in one night from other people racing my bobs. i've gone through and tried (sometimes accomplished) hosting races for the people that have hosted for me, but usually, all their bobs are used up. i've actually been to a point where i could only get 10 bobs in a race at once, including mine, and that was after searching through each of the 40 or so friends on my list that have bobs online...

I'm afraid I'm not hosting enough. I run the widget most days when I'm home, but I do take a day or 2 off to play Aspec. I don't like leaving the PS3 on when I'm not home, but I may start leaving it on while I sleep.

So far today, friends have piled up almost 1 million credits!

i am sensing the same theme. I do realise some folk do not have the time like i have to host races. I did follow suit and add a few folk onto my list in the hope that they might in fact host some races for my drivers. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at first, but i can tell from their log whose drivers they are racing and the consistancy. After a bit if inspector clueseau work, i've removed them.

I run about 10-15 races a day (mainly as i have the time to) and i do vary who i pick from my friends list. Sure i have worked out the ones who race my bobs, so they get 2 maybe 3 slots in a race (dependant on size of field).

I also do the 20min races, im guessing they give out the most xp.

Just get the impression some folk are out to exploit others and that annoys me, considering i have the good grace to race their bobs.......!

I've been hosting the 20 minute NASCAR one and I do always try to host as many as I can per day before the missus comes round and makes me turn it off for Coronation Street. I haven't made all that many credits and XP from remote races but if I work it out at a ratio of what I've hosted against what I've made from reciprocation then it's probably about right, which is fine.

That being said though, I have a few people on mine that never bother and yes... We BOTH know who you are :)

I've just checked and 6 of my 31 friends have hosted races for me in the last 16 hours, and I know that another 8 or so different ones have hosted in the past, but I don't really keep on top of who hosts and who doesn't, as I normally host an average of 18 races on Mondays and Fridays and try and share the entrants fairly between all my friends. I have 1,000,000 credits since the weekend, and it does seem to be hard to accumulate large sums of credits, but I'm in it more for the XP (need to get to Level 35 ;) )

X2010 by any chance :sly:

I think the biggest thing keeping me from hosting races is my network, I hosted about 27 races my first day, but I try to do what I can for those who help me as well

add my psn mate dirtyduckuk76 i host all the time i can.

My misses has taken over the TV in the evenings so my only option is to remote race online.

So as i said sent me an invite and i'll have no problem hosting, got about 10 friends from GTP so far and im more than happy to keep using there drivers to help them make money.

Hope to get an invite from you.

I hear ya bro, my missus has now clocked that my ps3 is on in the background (just by spotting the green light). She cannot complain i spend the evenings with her, watching her stuff while every 20mins or so sneeking onto my phone and starting/hosting a new race :)

P.s i'll add you mate, so we can host one another.

cheers

Wouldn't you have to look at the logs of all your "friends" in order to get any idea if they're leaching or not? For example, I have a friend who has nearly 80 friends, and if he's using the widget (therefore has no control over who he's hosting) maybe the widget just never, or possibly more precisely, rarely gets to you. After all, only a max of 15 of his friends can be in the race at any one time. On the other hand, if he's not using the widget, maybe he's trying to pay back those he sees in his log that have used his drivers, he would have a tough time getting to all 80 wouldn't he? He only has at most 6 drivers, and really 5 if he's hosting. Then add in your friends A-spec and or B-spec career playing time. Even if he's not A or B specing, he could appear to be leaching. And no way to know unless you go look at HIS log, and even that may be dubious. I'm not saying that leaching doesn't occur, just that some assumptions may be invalid.

Understand, I'm trying to learn if these observations are at all valid, not criticize. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm talking out of my posterior.

I just started remote play yesterday, and am running a B-spec endurance race today, so maybe I'm feeling a bit guilty. When that race is over, I plan to get back in the swing with a vengeance.

See.....if a person has 80 friends and using the yonis grinder then he obviously could care-less about who he helps or who helps him(just an observation). Many of us who do use the yonis grinder tend to keep 15-20 people max to rotate with those who are actually racing back.

+1, 80 peeps is just to many, i will more than likely stop adding when i say get to 25 so then everyone gets a fair crack in my eyes.

I always make sure everyone gets the same amount of race time when im hosting:)

I host 4-8 20 min races a day, and race all my b-spec friends bobs on a regular basis. If someone hasnt hosted any of mine in lets say 1 week, I remove them from my friends list. I have 24 great hosts and make about 300.000 each day. An average of 6 races a day means that I race 6x15 = 90 b-spec bobs each day, if they average 3000 cr./race my hosting makes 270.000 cr/day for my b-spec friends. Seems like a nice balance.

Looking at how much some of you are pulling in in just a day or two I feel like I'm being left out. I've added several people from GTP that says they're hosting frequently, yet all I have to show are a couple of thousand per driver, the most I've gathered was 300.000 total. The norm is between 20 - 50.000.

For the record I will mention that I haven't hosted now for a little while, but I'm going to get cracking again tomorrow!
