Hot Or Cold

Iv had my own questions bout this exact thread. Iv only done a little testing and from my admitedly limited research iv come to the conclusion that the Bobs are pretty equal when you yourself are interacting a lot with their races. Its when they are left to their own devices that their personalities seem to determine how they drive. I did testing using a 5lap race on the High Speed Ring, oil changing each time so it was a fair comparison & with exactly equal level Bobs. My conclusion? All drivers, once far ahead enough, will be driving on an extreme blue meter, and intetestingly the coolest driver's put in the fastest consecutive laps, therefore making them more suitable for the endurance events. The Hot Heads seem to do better in the closer, more intensely fought races, driving harder and overtaking more readily

Middle is the best
Then hot
then no bob
then no GT5
then no PS3
then no TV
then no planet earth
then no universe
then cold

I picked a fully cold driver when I first got the game, cause I thought a hot driver would crash a lot, that dude is slow and he's level 27 now. The driver that I used for the FGT thing was middle, he's really quick. Simple 👍

I have 2 hots 2 cold and 1 malcom in the middle...
The hots seems to be good under pressure ("go go go loser bob" pressing X faster) while the colds seems to like off road excursions under pressure.... may be it's psicological... may be is luck...
The balanced one is a loser always, he only can win with a supertuned car against a fiat 500 but is leveling up yet...

It seems like drivers all have a natural tendency toward hot or cold, and they drive better when they're sitting closest to that natural tendency. So for cold drivers, they're good to get them out front at the beginning of the race. Then they settle down, and run reasonably quick laps as they cool off.

The hot drivers seem to work well in traffic, and if you're expecting a battle near the end, these guys are good to have around. They don't seem to do well once they've gotten out front -- seems like they settle down too much, and can get surprised by the guy in 2nd place. But if you're around to do a little babysitting, they get out front and stay there.

My hot bob (lvl12) is better at passing but my cold bob (lvl12) does the fastest lap times, even faster than my middle of the road bob (lvl22).

I really like hot drivers that are good at cornering. My level 9 driver beats my level 31 who is just over the mid mark in hotness.

I noticed that my two "Hot' Bobs are alot more aggressive at overtaking than my three other more Cooler Bobs.

I have my bob at level 23, he is like a little bit above mid...and when i started having other bobs i also realized that the ones that are "hot" even if they are from lowers levels can be more agressive and give me better times than the level 23 bob.

I also have hot bobs only! A guy here once told me that they tend to relax once they are ahead but they pick up the pace automatically as soon as the competition gets too close, so in fact you don't have to babysit hot bobs in longer races.
I only can confirm that, once my lvl 21 bob has the lead, he cools down, then his laptimes are dramatic, he almost falls asleep, then the group comes closer and suddenly he wakes up, drinks two cups of espresso and drive the bats out of hell !!! And he wins :)

I like the hot headed drivers better. They seem to be more willing to overtake in tight races.

Well said, cold drivers are pretty slow and seem to have bum sex with the car in front instead of overtaking.. and this is after spamming overtake for ages.

gotta love b-spec :sly:
