Only found out of about this game today. Looks fun. I see there were some preorder DLC cars available, are those cars available for purchase later or missed out forever? (being the completion!st I am, important question before I consider buying)
the pre-order car packs will be available from Nov 25th :)

Also it turns out you can save-scum the blindboxes and limited offer shop if you make a backup save before opening the boxes/store refreshes, since both are completely random, if you reload the past save when the current eroll does not give you hat you want, you can try again until something you want shows up...

This trick sadly does not cut out the tedium of the randomized nature of getting vehicles, but it does cut out some of the grind beforehand and could potentially save time, if the RNG is kind.

Anyone messed around with the Track Editor? Curious if someone recreated real circuits or the whole FH3 HW world.

I've come across a surprisingly good rendition of Monza, with some very smartly placed boost strips that gave it an almost F-Zero like feel. Sadly, without the ability to search or locally save tracks it's since been lost in the pile so I couldn't tell you who made it.

I've messed with it, it's hard to smoothly go for using the world as the track and going to using the actual orange track, unless I'm doing it wrong.

No, that's just the physics engine unfortunately. Unreal engine physics aren't exactly great for driving games, but at least the weird floatiness of it makes some sense in this environment because they're toy cars so you expect them to be light and easy to get ejected.

I real really dislike how some cars just can't take those transitions at all, though. The bus in particular has about a 75% chance of being chucked into a front flip unless you hit the ramp at a very specific angle and boost at the exact second to lift the front end up a bit.

I was more talking about the track editor, when creating a track

Well yeah, that too. I think either the hitboxes for the ramps are too large or it's something to do with placing the invisible track portions to connect them, because those pieces in particular seem to be needlessly fussy about where they can and can't go.

Any good cars to use for the Time Trials? I heard the RD-02 is a top pick, but it does not like to drift maxed out.

My brother bought the game on PS5 but I didn't give it a crack until the I read the review on this site. The game was a bit frustrating initially but it's a heap of fun now that I've spent some time with it. I never expected to be playing a Hot Wheels game of this quality in 2021. I thought it'd be a total disaster to play like Need For Speed is at the best of times, but it isn't. The physics aren't perfect and there's a few strange quirks but they aren't game breaking, in fact if anything it gives the game character which I believe is sorely lacking these days. It's the definitive Hot Wheels game and I think it's great. A surprise package indeed.

Also, I managed to obtain RD-02 through the shop on my second day and I've been using it ever since. It's the only Acceleracer in the game right now and easily the best looking car. All the memories from watching the show have come back and I desperately need an Acceleracers themed expansion.

Had a very lucky Blind Box session this week! Managed to get the TMNT van, Batmobile and Night Shifter. Still trying for the Jesko or 24 Ours so I can finish the Time Attacks.

Still no Jesko or 24 Ours, but I did manage to snag a Dragon Blaster from the Limited Offers. It's almost as good.

Messed with the Track Builder and made my first recreation from a fan favorite... Helter Skelter from Ridge Racer Type 4. It's flat, so no altitude changes. Next will be Wonderhill, with elevation (as close as possible, I'm getting references from videos).

It's for Xbox and made it yesterday. Hopefully they'll add a feature to search by Creator soon.

I've been getting new cars. I don't think that the rotation works that much.

Speaking of the store, you can now get the Bye Focal II in the MS/PS Stores.

If you get all 3 Daily Challenges done, it bumps you up almost 5 levels. So, you could theoretically max out after a week and a half...

With my 8k Coins, I managed to snag the Street Weiner and Snoopy from the Limited Shop!

Beat That has more Acceleracers cars! Though having iirc Acceleron set liveries (so not 100% accurate). Spectyte, Covelight, Jackhammer, Chicane, Hollowback, Battle Spec, Spinebuster.

RD-02 though is a less common choice for Acceleracers which is good for more recognition in its other parts, though I'm afraid that it'll overshadow the likes of RD-08 or RD-09 if they're included in the game considering how RD-02 performed in the game. RD-02 also does kind of look like a Tamiya right?
