How about two classics sections?

How about two classics sections, dubbed "historic" and "classic"?

Historic cars would be defined as "cars from that marque that are historically significant".

Chevrolet, for example, would have the following:

1953 Corvette (first true American sports car)
1967 Camaro SS (first GM pony car)
1959 El Camino (GM's answer to the Ranchero)

Classics would simply be select cars from 20 years or more ago.

Chevrolet would have the following.

1962 Corvette
1964 Corvette
1969 Corvette
1970 El Camino SS
1967 Nova SS

Doing this would separate the "historically significant" cars, such as the "Daimler Motor Carriage", from the general classics, leaving more room for classics.

I like the idea, but just so you know the first El Camino came out in 1959. And GM Australia was building and selling "utes" well before then.

Or maybe just nix the whole "historic" idea, and focus on more of the modern side of the scene. Besides, it would save a whole lot of room for more exciting cars to drive. I.E. Lambos, Ferraris, Porches, et cetera, et cetera.

man, sorry but i dont like your idea... i think it'll just make it worse, why complicate it so much? simply just have New and Used cars.

I vote your opinion should be stricken from the record.

Classic cars are cool and plenty exciting to drive. I'd rather have a nice classic than a Ferrari any day.

Not a chance mate, some of the best cars to drive in GT4 are the 60's and 70's models. Yiou don't need speed to make a drive exiting, infact I find some of the least likable races in GT4 the ones in the LMP and group C cars, I like the mid-GT cars races though like the Viper's and the JGTC cars, but I also like racing in my Jag E-Type, my R5 turbo II my Dodge Charger and my Toyota 2000GT, theres a good few interesting cars to drive that are old.

Having a decent classics section is fine, there is no need to break it down into "historical significance" and others, that would just lead to arguments about why such-and-such a car isn't in the "special" group.
