I believe the line is a defect in the screen itself, not an issue with the image being sent to it from the GPU. In other words, a screenshot isn't going to show the defect. @Harsk100 would need to take an actual picture for it to show up.Can't see it... perhaps it's not showing due to the resolution of that picture?
Possibly, but I don't know it does this. I will replace my laptop's screen tommorrow. Can't see it... perhaps it's not showing due to the resolution of that picture?
It might be another possibility, but the picture at OP has been taken by myself with a Camera Tool which I have in my computer.I believe the line is a defect in the screen itself, not an issue with the image being sent to it from the GPU. Which is simply doing a screen capture of what the GPU is sending the screen, not what the screen is actually displaying.the picture at OP has been taken by myself with a Camera Tool which I have in my computer.

Do you see the pink line in your post?
Pink Line while I'm posting, I don't. But on the black backgrounds, I see the vertical pink line.Which is simply doing a screen capture of what the GPU is sending the screen, not what the screen is actually displaying.

This is a another possibility.Display issues are either
Defective LCD which looks similar to this, but can be anything from half the screen missing, to covered in lines, even ghost images.
(The GPU is not displaying these lines)
Or you can have GPU artifacts.
GPU artifacts change looks when the screen changes, be it change color, shape or even disappear or get displayed after a short time from boot.
(this is what the GPU is displaying)
Cracked LCD.
This is obvious
Backlight issues.
This is obvious as well
Well, I think so.Also, do you have something you can use as an external monitor - do you see any problems if you're using that?
Well, I think so.
TB means specifically in your opening post. Do you see the pink line in that picture you posted? Because we do not see a pink line in it. Which means you weren't able to screenshot the problem. Which in turn means it's not in the GPU (since it outputs the correct image). So it's a defect in the screen or the connections to it (hardware problem). It won't show when connecting an external monitor.Pink Line while I'm posting, I don't. But on the black backgrounds, I see the vertical pink line.
Yes, I do.Do you see the pink line in that picture you posted?
