How can I make my car faster?

Hi I just wanted to know how to make my cars go fast.
The fastest speed i can get a car to go is 182 mph.

Depends on what kind of car, and what speeds you want to reach.


Speeds of 1200mph are possible.


THe best way to reach a higher top speed is to get the full racing transmission, and adjust the final gear ratio as far over to the right as possible. YOu will accelerate slowly, but will have a much higher top speed.

Without going into too much detail...

Get a racing transmition. This allows you to customise the gear ratios. Set the FINAL gear setting lower and your top end speed will  inscrease.

Great on the test circuit and speed way. Not so great on bendy tracks because you need some SERIOUS power to shift into 6th with this setting. On bendy tracks your unlikely to do this and effectively loose your 6th gear.

YOu could try lowering the increasing the downforce on the back wheels. Much like a dragster. Dont expect any great turning ability though. If your car is Front driven this wont help much

Drop the height of the vehicle. Lowers air resistance. Dont expect to get up any steep hills though.

Making the car shift like a bat out of hell is simply a case of moving any give setting to a more extreme value. But doing so will usually sacrafice another element of the cars overall driving. Be it handling, acceleration, whatever.

I recomend saving the default settings to memory card before you start tinkering
