How do I install Full game on HDD?

recently been playing the game and very happy about it, the only downside being long loading times of a track and especially cars before a race. It seems as if the cars are loaded from the CD and not HDD because I can hear it(the bd-rom).

Although it said the game needs 8Gb of space on HDD, the GT5 install has only about 5Gb.
Is there a possibility to Install the WHOLE game on HDD? The stupid loading time is bothering me. :grumpy:

The game likely needs 8 GB of HDD space because of User Created/Unlocked/Purchased/Downloaded content.

I.e., saving your paints, rims, cars, downloaded content, course creator circuits and other things.

However, even installing the 5 GB install should lower the load times (I remember doing that with Forza 2 & 3, before the Forza series lost its awesomeness.)

Now not so much but before spec 2.. yea the install lowered loading by 75% , now by 25-30% , But its not that bad, in tekken 6 even installed it takes long and if not.. the load is like 2 mins per fight

I did the pre-load a few weeks ago and other than the game first starting a little quicker, nothing in-game works any faster IMO

I thought so, but, didn't know they work in PS3. Learning something new every day.

They work very well. :) Especially with GT5 and all other games that load a lot from the hard drive instead from the blu-ray.
Installation times for patches or PSN games are cut in half. I did some testing with a lot of games (before and after), maybe I can start a thread and share my experience if it is not too much off-topic.

Well, since you installed your game on SSD, I, personally, see no problem.

I wonder if that'd work for making Bob's Track Builder Evo stop freezing up... :ouch: -----> That's off-topic.

I'm an extremely short-timer here, but never seen a word about it

I've been playing for a while now and would like to load the game on the hard drive.

Here's the stupid question...

So how do I do that?

The game was asking you the very first time you started it. You can do an installation in the main options

Everybody gets asked but I cancelled anyway because I wanted to see the difference and believe me it's a big difference, took so long to install in my HDD. don't think you could do the full game on HDD; what I mean is that you can't play it off your HDD, it only install PARTS of GT5 in your HDD.

It installs everything BUT the .iso file you need from the disc. That way, you can't just continually give free copies of the game away, you actually need the disc to play it. :grumpy:

Yeah, but if you Jailbroken your ps3 than you can just download free games and put it in your HDD :) and play it from there but don't do that; that's 🤬 asking to kill your ps3 but it would be good if PD sell GT6 prologue and we are able to FULLY install it in our HDD.
