At the end of a drift I always spin out. Say its a right turn, and I counter steer, but it spins to the right. If I give it to much countersteer, it snapsback. I am using a wheel.

Thanks

Ease of the gas a little bit near the end of the drift and then straighten the wheel(quickly).

when exiting the corner slowly and smoothly turn the wheel to the center. Make sure you are full throttling out of the exits.

You probably just need more virtual seat time. It took me only a day or two to pull off a drift with a wheel, but much longer to come out of one smoothly via "straightening out" on my own accord.

Just give it some time, maybe lobby up with a wheel drifter for some one on one help.

Also, that may be a bit too much power for that car if you're just learning. To me, 260hp was more than enough and felt great.

Good luck.

sfx may I ask what wheel your are using at the present?
I'm using a fanatec GT3RS. and..... Its so smooth! lol:drool:

Releasing the throttle when exiting a corner while countersteering will make the rear wheels to grip and cause a snap back, what you need to do when using a wheel is to be ahead of yourself, center the wheel earlier than you think you should.. thats how i did it :/ drifting stock cars with comfort hard. if you spin that's where you need to release the throttle earlier.

I would think to slowly lower your throttle as you exit the corner.

This and extreme counterstering. If still doesnt works, revise your setup. If still doesnt works, tap the e-brakes while dosing the accel and counterstering a lot, light a candle and pray for Keiichi Tsuchiya.

Try watching these vids: NOTICE HOW WHEN YOU GET MORE ANGLE, YOU COUNTER-STEER MORE.

Edit: LOL make sure you use the comfort tires (soft, med, or hard), dont use sport tires. If you werent using comfort tires then maybe that was the entire problem.

If you want, PM me when you are able to set up a drift room and I will be more then glad to help you out with strightening out! :dopey:

Another emergency action that is common to use is decease the gear. The "engine-brake" and the liminal RPM helps to regain stability. But must be carefull to use it, specialy while tandeming.

When you wish to exit the drift you are in, Ease of the throttle and continue to countersteer until the car is ready to straighten out. Keep practicing and you will get it.

Also after you get the feel of the wheel and know when you're about to grip up and tank slap, throw the wheel the other way to counter, counter steer.
smash it between the pages of a bible.

Shush your noise.

Try a lighter weight car with less power if your new to wheel then get used to it and start drifting with higher powered cars.
