How do you get these things to work with PS2 games?

I bought a Driving Force GT to replace my broken Driving Force Pro. Popped in GT3 to give the new wheel a run. It self-calibrates and runs through all the paces. Then it proceeds to do nothing. The buttons don't work. The pedals don't work. Tried it on a game that uses 900 degrees (Drift 2). Same deal.
The wheel works on the PC. It works on the XMB. It works with Ridge Racer 7. It won't work any PS2 games. Any ideas?

It sounds like something is wrong with your wheel.

I used to own a DFGT, and it was plug and play with GT3/4 and Enthusia on PS2 or PS3.

Have you checked the settings (in-game) to make sure it knows you're using a wheel, and not a controller?

Either something is wrong with your wheel, or your not setting something up right.

;)

I figured it out. My mighty CECHAx, with its four USB ports, apparently only recognizes the first two when playing PS2 games. I just had to move the wheel Port 1 for it to work.
It has been too long to remember if I had to do that with the DFP, but the DFGT works now. Thanks for the help anyways. 👍

I do have another question, though: Is the PS Button supposed to actually do anything?

The PS button brings up the XMB on a PS3, but it does nothing on a PS2. Which console are you using?

PS3. It doesn't seem to do anything anywhere. Doesn't bring up the XMB when playing games (PS2 games or PS3 games). Doesn't do anything when actually on the XMB.

Well, when I had mine it acted exactly the same as the PS button on the controller. It would bring up and put away the XMB when in a PS3 game, and just give you the little cross-circle thingy when not playing a game. I never played PS2 games on it though. Maybe there is something wrong with it?
