How do you make a good drag car for two player mode?

My friends Love drag racing FF hondas in GT4, I myself love the circuit. So far I've been given a few chances to race against them in circuit but, My driving skills is just too good compared to there's. (fyi I raced them in an turbo integra vs them using a 400hp rx7, i won.) Anyways, I've been named the local circuit king and now they will only race me in drag. I have held out for quite some time using the info post on this site for building a ff drag car but in two player mode the TCS is turned off which pretty much makes makes the races very interesting. I have been losing every race because they've learned to control their power at the start and modded gears to have the first gear top out around 60mph. I've been changing my settings over and over and can't come up with anything that is better in two player mode. Here is my settings for my rsx which does high 11's in las vegas strip..

My younger bro and I have been doing that lately (BOREDOM KILLS). We started a new file just for the tracks and $$$. We're basically just buying cars and then tuning it for drag, 30mph roll, 60mph roll, top end, etc. We just limit ourselves to, let's say for example, $50,000. That includes purchasing the car, and tuning it. So that limits you on purchasing parts, so make a wise decision first before buying what's neccessary and what not. This is all done on the "Test Course."

NOTE: 2 player arcade mode only allow sports tires unless it's a race car.

You could probably try using a skyline gtr ( any kind) or a subaru wrx sti (latest model) and tune the one you pick fully with basically everything and turn your tcs to 1 or zero. Off the line hold your revs about 3 to 4 grand (rpm) and launch but dont pull it flat stick straight away just ease it on until about 5 grand then gas it literally good luck with my fully tuned wrx sti i got about 10.50s at las vegas drag strip hope you find it use full thanks.

how to make a good drag.. Hmm never thought about that, because i never seemed to be able to find 2P Drag Strip...

So here's what i think i can do for you:

If you want to play games where both can easily accelerate and can easily win, use 4WDs for quick pickup:), a minor screwup allows other player to win, meaning screwing up is unacceptable :)

Try RRs? I personally never driven one before.. Try it out..

Put the Tire Wear to Strong, get the lowest grip on your tires , TCS 0, Choose some cars that have a Strong Torque and are light in weight so you'd really have to work at the Throttle control :)

In 2player mode. If you own a tuned sports car, even if you have racing super soft tires on for it. The game won't allow you to put it on, you're stuck with sports soft for the best tires anyway.

huh? I didn't say any specific tires, I just said lowest grip of what's available...

Oh....ha! my bad, read wrong.

But if you do have a RWD car. Start off in 2nd gear after you warm up the tires. As for FWD, I don't know, FWD peels out...like forever. But best bet is AWD, even with TCS off they take off.

bump.

I've also been racing with a friend that likes to race straight line (we usually go to circuit de la sarthe, so both the acceleration and top speed plays in) ...

With that said: I only really have 1 car set up for drag racing and its my Spec C STi ... in GT mode, on superslicks, it will run a 7 and a bit second 400m and has a ridiculously high top speed ... but arcade mode doesnt let you use supersofts so it ends up being slow. i have some other cars that are fast, but every time i think i have something out of this world fast, my friend brings something faster.

so if you got settings for a very fast car (would prefer it to be a roadcar, but will work with racecars), I'd like to know. Ideally, I prefer AWD because that means less than a mile of burnout ...
