How does friends records/times/leaderboard work

Sorry, this is probably really simple to answer but it's my first gran turismo game and I'm a little confused.

If I race a stage (in driving school for example) I can see a ranking of how my friends have also got on with that stage, but it doesn't show my best time in the keaderboard.
Is it possible to see a leaderboard with my time as well as my friends time on them?

Also is there a 'total' overall ranking system? I've come to Gran Turismo from Driveclub and that had a very competitive friends league and worldwide league.
I'm sure these are implemented in gtsport I just can't seem to find them.

Im wondering the same thing. Where are the leaderboards for all players. If i try a time trial i want to see friends and at at least top 20 records and to download ghost cars.

Same here, I want to see how my friends did on a lap. Where can we see it like the license test times?

There's only a top10 regional leader board which is visible to everyone. If neither you nor one of your friends is on the top10, you will only see your times on the friends list.

We can't see replays or download ghosts from none of the leader boards (global and friends). That would be cool, indeed. I also agree that a top10 is kinda short. We could get a top 25/50.
