Transmission: manual
ASM/TC/ABS: off
Driving line(Does it matter?): off

Could've done a better time with standard physics, automatic and ASM+TC on but it is no fun tbh.

ive gotten lazy since that time trail to improve anything and since i cant update the game for some reason its rather pointless when you dont know your rank.

Well, it's... violent
You're not using enough of the track. A lot of wheelspin when exiting corners, power oversteer, which means you lost quite a bit of time there.
Try driving more consistent, setting a 'normal' lap time for yourself without too much sliding, and start building up from there on. Gently knocking off a few tenths, maybe a few seconds even.

This is what I do... set a couple of fast laps, watch the replay in the interior view, listen for wheel spin, remember the section, realize why I skidded, go back and correct and then repeat. Until you can hear almost squealing you can go faster. In some cases a little skid is ok but most of the time when you slide you are loosing time. Try and minimize as much tire squeal as you can. BTW what tires are you using. If you are using S2s I have no idea how you are getting that much wheel spin. If you are just driving for fun though I would say you are doing a great job.

Not be arrogant but my first lap out I set a 54.774. That was with almost no wheel spin. But that is half the battle. My driving lines were way off. You can be as smooth as you want but if you do not pick the right lines you will never be the fastest. I am over 2 seconds off the lead lap. When you are within 1 second every tenth becomes a battle.

im sorry, 54.774 on the very first lap on the track? like, first time you see the track? i find that hard to believe. first time with the evo maybe, not the track. that time trial was the first time i see the track, i had a head-on impact in my 2nd lap when i tried to enter fast.

as for the tyres, im using S3s...and i get way more skidding with RWD cars.

ill try another trial soon and try reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard not to drift. it amuses me how you guys can have a 100% clean lap. i always drift a corner or two, cant resist.

tdk, what Spec does your screen say on 'My Page'? The current Spec is III. Go into GT News and it will restart, do it until it's done.

Saved replays won't matter once you update, they'll be obsolete.

Just let it download and if it gives you an error, you go in to the game and start downloading again from the news section (left), it starts from the point where you got the error. Rally, you NEED the update, better physics, 3 new cars, some sound fixes etc. Just note that you download a huge file package so it takes a while and ALL your settings (quick tune, options) and your laptimes will be resetted, you also cant use your old replays because of the physics changes.

i think its spec II since i got the high speed ring. they say it wasn't available in the first one.

Nothings wrong you just have to keep attempting the download, it does save its progress but the progress bar resets for whatever reason (game bug). So, if you downloaded 30%, if you try again it will start from 0% but finish at 60% (unless it fails again, you just have to keep trying).

Eventually it will finish downloading, its happened to almost everyone.

And please try to stop swearing and/or using text speak.

There wasnt any Spec I unless you mean the JPN version of the game.
I cant watch my replays from Spec II, it gives me an error when i try it.
