How good do you rate yourself compared to other online drivers?

i say, in the top 10-15% of drivers. i don't even consider myself that good, it's just that online drivers suck... ALOT

what about you guys?
im sure there is some of you guys in the top 5%...

Truth be told - I haven't lost much on Shift. I know that sounds like I sound full of myself, so I'm going to say top 15-10%.

GT5P is somthing completely different.

atm, i'm currently sitting on a 90% win rate, true about how must GTP guys are clean racers.. oh god, today i think it was the track shaped like a 8, ..................................................................... emphasis on the intersection in the middle...

hey this is my first racing game ever i jyst starte playing ps in april and never playid pc ore anything els befor. i dont know hove god i am but im almost always in top 3
but ther is always a noob crasing me in the effort to get pas me i think ther is to many dirty drivers online!!!

can i set fast time i quik race meny and still get on the leaderboard?????
if i take away all the 0:00,000 times and the times under 1 min on 2 min tracks im on top 35 on 1 and top 150 on 3 i think thats ok but im slowly getting better:)

Well, with other GTP drivers, i loose beucaus they're a lot better, but, with other guys (punters) i loose often because, 100m after the start of the race, i get taped out by the other guy so, in avergae, i say 10%/15%.

I'd have to say that in Shift, I'm just average compared to most others I've met online. On good days at best I'm upper third. :indiff:

I think I was much better at Ferrari Challenge online than I am at NFSS, and that was because I understood the limits of the cars much better. I'd guess I was in the top 25% of drivers in that game. In Shift I'm still not sure most of the time how close to lockup I am under braking, or how tight I can turn without the rear-end sliding out.

And it may be just me, but I swear the cars feel and drive differently in online racing than they do when racing the AI in single player. My lap times are always three to five seconds slower online for a given car than they are in single player. Especially to one who really has to work at being a good, fast, clean driver, the inconsistancy of the physics between single player and online racing is the biggest factor in my lack of success online. :(

Compared to the GTP'ers here, I'd say bottom 50%.. I suck compared to the rest of you. However, compared to the remaining online racers that at least attempt to race cleanly, I'd guess top 20%. My online win ratio is about 90 to 30 in my favour.

Not you, my go-to cars for career mode are completely different online... much much looser. I'm still not believing that custom car tunes translate into online play. Heck, even in career mode I'm not sure they've always "stuck" after setting parameters.

i got the same problem whit my car its difrent from race to race but i just try to fet the race right eny way:)

i think the bigest problem in online racing is that alot of people just run you of the road to beat you insted of trying to get a clean pas i tryid that a dude on spa gp just ran me of in the last dobbelt turn and cut the corners sow he dint have to turn at all and beating me in that way damm i got mad i hat that i always try to get a clean pas and if i cant i dont pas

online racers come on lets have a clean and fair race

Compared to folks here probably not good compared the SHift crowd top 25%. My online record doesn't reflect because of the punters however.

Unfortunately, it seems if you can get around the Nordschleife without going off the track, or wall riding, you are probably in the top 15% playing this game. :indiff:

That said, I have come across some quite good drivers, even in public unmatched. It is why I like the Nordschleife though, you usually pretty quickly leave the punters behind.

I will say i'm in top 25% of shift racers. Does anyone else use bumper camera angle for racing? Bumper cam does have some disadvantages ( not being able to see cars beside you is the biggest one ) however it also has some advantages as well like better view of track, easier to stick to racing line, also i find it improves car handling, (for me anyway ). Like the majority of you all i prefer to race clean (better lap times) but if racing a bunch of online smashup derby racers i say take em out before they take you out.
