Finally picked one of these things up in Project 'Get all Cars'.

Holy crap! This thing's fantastic!!

It has the pace of the Toyota GT1 race car (of which I have a couple thanks to the vagaries of random prize cars while getting 100%), but it's so much easier to drive - engine's smoother, handling's less dramatic (and easier to tune) - it's brilliant!

I'm now looking to pick up the road car (another gap) - with my last exam for my part-time Grad Dip out of the way tonight, that car WILL be mine.

i got like everything, yet i'm not completed. Only 99%

The r390 road car is great. Before u screw it up () just drive it out of the box. It handles great. I have yet to try is w/o asm and tcs tho.

Well, there's nothing wrong with the road car that another 300hp wouldn't fix - the handling's excellent.

BTW- For those who don't yet have an R390 LM Race Car, but wish to drive one, just complete Arcade Mode, then go to the S-Class... there, you will find an R390 Race Car. Enjoy. ;)

This thing is fantastic... the Toyota is a little bit coarse in its handling, and the 787B is almost too light (good for tire wear, but sometimes a tad hard to handle). The R390 has a great combination of both... in fact, it almost feels like an F1 car.

Well, it's much smoother than the Toyota, Mazda or the F1 cars (well, maybe not the Poly001). The good thing is when you put the Stage 4 turbo on it the engine retains its smooth power delivery, so the big HP is actually quite manageable - almost drives like an NA car. I would rate it as quick as the Poly002.

I'm suprised some of u guys dont have these cars. At 75% done i had the 787b, toyota gt1 race and road, r390 race and road, i had tons of cars.

Just how it plays out - I had about half a dozen F1 cars, the Toyota GT1 in road and race form, but no GT40s, neither of the Nissans. The joy of random prize cars...

OMG, f1 cars piss me the hell off. Ever scince i got my S lisnese (which was ages ago) i always win f1's everytime i do an endurance race. Makes me so made because i want the supercars instead. U only need 1 or 2 f1's, but u can never have enuff supercars, they all drive and race differently.

The 787B's a great car, but I find it easier to be consistent in the Nissan - just a driving style thing, I suppose.

lol, the nissan r390 actually destroys the 787b, i'm not sure about overall, but the best recorded lap times on midfeild with a fullymodded 787b is 54.xxx the best lap times with an r390 race car is 52.xxx

I like the 787b better, but just try this: take your fully modded 787b, do 5 laps on midfeild, under run and settings, then take your r90 race car and do 5 laps around midfeild, you'll see a drastic difference.

Yes, I remember someone on GameFAQs did a test a long time ago, comparing the R390, 787B, and GT1... on most of the courses, the winners came out in that order, though occasionally there was a toss-up. However, despite the fact that the 787B is somewhat slower, it's so da•n easy to love! :D

Change the oil did we?

Interesting you make that comment. My version of GT3 only has the two GP cars, the Poly001 and the Poly002. The 002 is pretty similar to the 686 (I think) from your version, and I would rate the Nissan (in full HP trim) as quicker than that car. Nothing competes with the Poly 001 (similar to your F094, I think) though.

The big advantage the Nissan LM car has is that even when tuned to 1100+hp it is still very smooth in how it puts its power down - it almost drives like an NA car.
