how long does it take to grind 20M (just a theoretical estimation)

Assuming you have 0 cr. left and need to grind 20M non stop.

I've put 1min each in between races.

For "# of races", it's round up, meaning 20M/825k is 24.24 races, so round up to 25 races.

For Tokyo and Sardegna race times, it's some where in between very slow and ridiculously fast times.

For Le Mans and Spa, assuming you're just waiting at the finish line and cross as time expires.

My favourites are still Sardegna and Spa. Sad that both are 800 PP, so you more or less drive the same cars.

I never liked Tokyo but grinded a little during the first Tomahawk-Phase.

Also don't like LeMans but i try sometimes because of 700 PP.

That's a lot of time repeating the same races
Over and over and over again
The thing is that the most of the events in the game are events with low credit rewards, but there are only very few cars in the game that are very cheap like it was in GT4, GT5 or GT6, average or below average street cars which were easy affordable like in real life and gave that the game higher replayability and variability. A certain form of fun and discovering many unknown brands and cars, that thing which has sadly disappeared since GTS.
I still feel that used cars dealership is useless here and it doesn't work as well as in the previous games.
Most of the prices for the cars range from 350,000-500,000/ these are mostly racing GT cars that everyone in the world knows very well. What really dominates are legendary cars/VGT cars that are about 1,000,000 or much, much more. But there are still not enough high paying events for these classes. Coincidence?
GT7 wants to be too serious and professional, I do not know why, but the more and more they try, the more it gets boring and predictable, while the previous games came to me like endless walks through museums with cars. The fun factor is definetly missing here.

It’s not about being serious and professional.

It’s a copy of F2P models and they have intentionally created a slow boring grind… that many players (not me) choose to skip by purchasing mtx.

It’s an easy fix for them… but they don’t see it as a problem that needs fixing…

it’s a well researched and thought out feature to PD, that brings them in more money.

What I meant was that they highly focus on professional racing cars than regular road cars. I miss this element, the game is simply not fun.
There aren't enough regular road cars to add variety to the game, plus most of the cars are the same from GTS, which everyone already knows well. Not everyone wants to compete with GT3/GT4 cars in online.
I bought a used ps3 now and started playing GT6. I've never played it before. I couldn't believe it, but that game has so much replay value that I almost forgot about GT7. So many cars and so many options how and where to use them.

this is exactly why I did the AFK grind... pays much less and takes more time but you don't actually have to physically play the game and can just leave it on in the background...since my connection was terrible though I always had to restart the script some times once or twice an hour... but if it ran good for me it would run for 4-5 hours a time before it disconnects

I feel like grinding is a sign of bad game design. So I don't grind, because some of the most expensive cars in the game only come in a single paint scheme, many of them being either historic race cars, or vintage cars that are a very specific chassis number, like that Alfa Romeo from the late 30s. The only expensive cars I really care about are the ones where they may come in multiple colors, and I may prefer a certain OEM color; I prefer not to repaint cars in most cases.

For example, I waited until the McLaren F1 came in Base Silver to buy one, and I hope to have enough credits to buy a second one whenever it shows up in Historic Orange. But the Porsche 917, the Ford Mark IV, the Jaguar XJ13, or the Ferrari 330 P4? I can wait indefinitely for those.

Heck, even if I had infinite credits, it's not like I'm gonna have a place to use a lot of these expensive cars at the moment, anyway. So I may as well take my time while having as much fun as possible, such as in Sport Mode, or doing the remaining World Circuits races that I haven't gotten to yet.

Plus, I always get at least silver in the online time trials, so that's a real nice way to make some extra sponduli - though this current one with the MP4/4 at Suzuka is proving to be the most challenging yet!

I do hope, however, that selling cars doesn't end up just being the same as in previous GT games, especially after the seemingly long wait for that to get implemented. I honestly think that selling cars (and potentially parts) could be something fun in its own right if done correctly. For example, I accidentally bought the Full-Customize Manual Transmission for my Toyota TS050, and I'd love to somehow get rid of that part since I've bought the Full-Customize Racing Transmission I originally intended to get. I also once won a Nitrous Kit for the D1GP-spec Subaru BRZ, but I don't want that part, either, so I'd love to be able to sell that, too, since I have no intention of actually installing it. (Especially since it's seemingly worth 100k credits!)
