HOW MANY CARS?

Yeah, but most were used cars that would have taken too much time to put in.  Did you ever use a 1983 chaser in GT2?  I doubt that I used any cars beyond the 100 that fit in my garage.

My problem is that they kept in a lot of the same car still.  Who needs 20 ****
ing skylines?  You know, like 2 stock skylines (gt-r vpsec II and R400) and maybe two or three racers would be fine.

You've got like 6 S2000s, probabally 15 Lancers, (all of them the same) 10 NSXs 10 skylines 7 celicas, 5 miatas, nd who knows how many other copies of the same car.

As far back as they pushed this damn thing though...

Wrong, Wrong and Wrong.

Acording to the UK's Official PS2 magazine, GT3 has 100 cars.

The reason GT3 has at least 200 cars less than GT2 is because of the amount of pixels it takes to produce a car in GT3, due to the quciker speed and graphics of the PS2, it requires 3000 pixels to produce a car on GT3 were as in GT2 it requiers approximately 300.

you mean polygons of the cars ?

Each model is made of polygons , In GT2 because of the lower resolution(num of pixels)  available because of the poor graphics capabilities comparing with ps2, they had to make the cars with less polygons , so to trade off the speed (reasonable frame rates) of the game.
Now with higher capabilities(higher resolution), each car is made of thousands of polygons so imagine how much  time it takes those gys to make one car, eventually all the cars in GT2.

GT Master, you are obviously not the master of Gran Turismo 3 because the game actually has over 150 cars and each car holds 4,000 polygons each. My source comes from EGM.

Sorry i spoke, i was just trying to help out. If i had known my source of info wasnt correct i wouldnt have let you know. I must have got pixels and poloygons mixed up, i am more of a GT Master than a software master.
