How much time difference do weather conditions make?

Don't think there is actually a difference caused by the current weather conditions in the handling of the car - some people might have problems driving during night or when dark but that's it - I haven't noticed different handling - let's hope for rain in the near future (after all we have tyres for rain :) )

It does not mattet -PD logic- what time of the day or night you race.It wont affect the "performance" of your car.Lighting,as other fellow members pointed already,or "visual" effects can do that.So changing time period does nothing in terms of the car but can affect the player.

...as far as I know, there is not temperature difference on track, so there should be no temperature difference on tires, and with that... there is no difference... would be nice to have all that... Looking forward for new Assetto Corsa Competizion regarding this...

Cheers...

Do you have a good PC built (just to be safe ;) ) ?

I'll go out on a limb and say there is definitely a difference FOR ME, track visibility makes a huge difference, because of this I am unable to know if the track itself has more or less grip and it's not just placebo from my real life brain limiting me.

I would be interested in seeing that the top ten leader board times remain the same for the same car/track at different daytime settings.

...considering how Unreal engine is well optimized I really hope to get this baby running.

As for PC, well I have two. Older one is AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3 and R9 280x, newer one is AMD R7 1800x, 32GB DDR4 and Vega 64... so I really hope I won't need anything better for 1440p then the second one, even on my old PC I can run Assetto Corsa maxxed out at 1080p... :)

Cheers...

Wasn't it proven in GT5-6 that track temperature affected grip ? I'm guessing that's not the case since time of day / cloud cover is the only thing noted . For all we know the temperature is static .

That may have been the case, but they also showed tire temperature. In GT5, cold tires was a real thing in the game. People say it's a thing in GTS, but there's no indication in the game that the tires ever change temperature (other than from a spin) or that the track surface temperature changes.

I can't say that I ever noticed it.

I've noticed that it seems like there is less grip for a lap or so after changing tires. Could be me just losing my mojo waiting in the pits.

I've noticed less grip on early morning cloudy tracks. Assuming that's a result of lower track temperature

Track temp does make a difference, the RH tires respond better to warmer weather, probably why I'm seeing better lap times on Nurb GP today.
