To me, rain is not that important in itself, but rather dynamic weather. I didn't use to choose to drive a full race on the rain but I'd be glad to set the weather to dynamic and change strategy if rain would appear.

In this poll I'd put 1-5% but if I had the option of choosing dynamic weather, I'd choose that.

Every time I would see it in multiplayer, I would specifically up-vote it. Although the trend I notice is that the general everyday players don't really seem to like it as it almost never wins the vote for everyone else.

Poll otions don't really work for me, as it's not a percentile, but more so anytime it's available I would specifically pick it.

That last racing game that I played extensively was GT6 - I raced in the rain as often as I could, but there just weren't many seasonal and career events that had rainy conditions. And because arcade mode didn't yield any credits, I didn't use that mode to experience rain stages more. So in GT6, I'd say about 5% of the time (maybe less).

I recently had access to my friend's PS4 for about a week and played Driveclub a bunch. During that week, I raced in rainy conditions about once every four races.

I did not vote because of this. In GT Sport arcade mode however, I will be racing in the rain an awful lot!

I personally like it, it's a challenge to face the ever changing elements. Don't get me wrong going all out on a dry track can't be beaten, but I regularly run foggy or wet conditions when testing my tracks. You'd be surprised how many people leave a room when the clouds darken lol.

Only when career mode races had rain scheduled or if weather was set to dynamic in multiplayer. As long as the rain and standing water doesn't hit 100% then I'm okay with rain even if I only drive in it about 5% of the time.

Hell, in Forza people leave before the race even starts

50+ %. Even if majority of users don't like using it it shouldn't be something that's excluded. It's a part of driving and motorsports and should be a standard feature in all racing games that strive for at least some level of realism. Personally love the challenge, the look of wet streets, and the immersion.

I like driving in the rain in real life too.

I agree totally, dynamic weather can add some interest as a possibility in a +10 laps race and this is a very good point.

Not very often but that is mainly because the way rain worked in the GT series was basically just a grip multiplier. There was no aquaplaning, properly drying racing line, a proper tire model to simulate the additional heat built up in rain tires , physics based track dynamics etc. All of these things promise to be included through Live Track 3.0 in Project Cars 2 so I expect to be using rain and dynamic weather much more often in that game.

In our GT6 lobby, we do variable weather races, and about 30-40% of them it rains. We also also use combinations of different tires for example, sports hard and comfort soft, and for anyone who wants to know, confort sofrt tires are the best tires for wet besides the racing wet/inters. Yes they deal better with water than the sports ones.

Very rarely do I use dynamic weather, but I would always prefer to have it in a game rather than just static conditions. Dynamic time on the other hand I used most of the time.

I tend to avoid it. Even in full arcade games I still avoid it because without the full degree of vision we have in reality, rain offers very poor visibility.

Took advantage of the variable weather feature all the time in GT6 wherever available. Never set the weather to 'fixed'. Ever.

Now I'm playing DiRT4 where it's a requirement to drive in varying weather conditions. And why shouldn't it be, unless it's Nascar and I ran those events only when absolutely necessary.

I love driving in the rain in real life, and that love transfers over to racing games. I love the challenge of low grip. Trying to get the throttle down. And I love the reduced visibility. But for me it's most fun with other players. Problem with Gran Turismo 6 was that most people didn't like racing in the rain. So I didn't get to do it very often. One thing I really hope Gran Turismo Sport get's right is the water effect on the windshields.

I love the dynamic weather in F1 2016! It adds a lot to the excitement of a race when suddenly the dynamics change and you're forced to change your driving style.

Rain is arcade stuff in games. For the kids who wants to have fun. more challenging, more crashes.... etc..

I love testing hot laps around nurb and checking if it equals real time record.

so no, i never race rain.

Me too but in the game not so much idk why?

In theory I like it, but I rarely use it.

Think about real life, it's much nicer to drive on a blue sunny day!

I love playing in rain conditions!
Even more with dynamic climate change during the race.

I'm an endurance race fan and played a lot of 3-4 H races in GT6 online or even real 24H race in project C.A.R.S...

And dynamic climate and day night cycle is amazing and real life like...

It Starts to rain, track get slowly wet and you hesitate to enter in box to change on wet tyres or stay out on track...

In Pcars 2 it will be even more amazing! Cause it can rain in a sector of a track and in other parts its still dry...

So for me in a sim game its important to feature rain and day-night cycle.

Hopefuly GT Sport get rain.. But should been dynamic... Not fixed...

For me it's a huge step backwards to not feature dynamic day - night cycle and climate system in GT Sport and was featured in the PS3 GT5 & 6...

There's One personal reason why i will go for pcars2 instead GT Sport.
