OK...a bit of confusion exists on my part. You noted all possible mods in the first post, but yet you note "suspension, None possible" in the previous note.
should I have installed the suspension on my car? For that matter...Full racing transmission?
A note: drop ASM to Zero. While it helps maintain your car balance when coming into a corner, it is a hindrance to proper cornering. Since you are running a mid level powered car, with super softs, drop TCS to 1 or 2. TCS will help you from spinning the tires, but it limits the available power you can apply to the ground. Careful throttle control will be needed in high powered cars when running low TCS. I turned ASM off many moons ago, and it has made me a better driver.

Analog sticks are good. Much more precise throttle control, and smoother steering transition. Are you braking early enough for corners? As a further hint, I'm only hitting the brakes 5 times through out the entire lap. Once just before entering the first tunnel, once at the hard right after the first tunnel. I let up slightly taking the corner into the third tunnel (no brkaing here). The third braking point is at the bottom of the hill, for the green monster. Fourth is the left after the top of the hill, for this, I actaully brake before the peak of the hill, and coast into the corner. The suspension is unloaded at this point, so any braking plays havoc in this turn. Last braking point is at the bottom of the next hill, after the 3rd time check (quadrant). Then it's full power up the hill, across the flat with a slight let-up in throttle before the chicane into the finish line.
Excellent theory on the learning process. One I follow as well.
