Hey guys, I need to ask you one thing: I want to know how to buy things online. What are the requirements?

What are you trying to buy? Some retailers won't accept Paypal so you'll need a credit or debit card.

You can set up a PayPal account up against a card or bank account. If you had your own bank account with a set amount of money in it, then you could use that. That way your parents don't need to worry about you going crazy and spending loads of cash. ;)

Really? Did anyone do this with their own bank account?

That's how the world works. How old are you?

If your parents don't want you to spend their money, you should open a bank account (open a checking account at any bank-- pick one without any fees) and get a job to earn your own money.

Visa do a prepaid card and it's available across the whole of Europe inc your own country Portugal.

Google "prepaid visa Portugal" and you will find it.

Once you have one you find what you want to buy and check its cost, put the amount of real cash onto the card and the use the card online and boom! The world of online shopping is yours to explore.

Make yourself known with the possible ways to transfer money from a to b. Decide what is best for your situation.

I would recommend PayPal over everything purely because it's relatively safe. When I bump into a store where I can only pay with credit card I'll find another way to get that product. Too unsafe I think these days. Probably best for you not to get your own credit card.

That's strange. I've never run into a store that takes credit but not cash. Maybe people being so afraid of credit is why they don't have any.

The only example I can think of are hire car firms, but that's generally because they like to put the hold on your card as a guarantee.

I use paypal which is hooked up to my bank account, and i get things all the time from ebay.

But you must be over 18 to use it which your not.

A pre-paid credit card.
You can get google plus cards/iTunes cards for online store things.

Interac online, basically just pay with a debit card online.

PayPal

Some placed will also accept a money order but won't ship until its received.

Ahhh, the sweet smell of the ignorance of youth. Would that I could go back to those blissful days once again...

Sorry, got sidetracked in my own nostalgia there for a second.
When I want to rent an online movie(read that as streaming movie), I go to either VUDU or Amazon, and now that I'm all setup at the sites, the actual process of renting is very very simple. At Amazon all I need to do is enter in a 5 digit password and done.
Need to be logged in to the sites of course and have funds available in my bank account.
Amazon also has one click purchases which I've used also. Like a music cd. Very quick to do.
