How to choose one of the four prize cars

I looking at some of the prize lists that are out there, and I notice that after winning lets say the amateur R-type race their are four different cars you can win.  Is it possible to choose which one you want.  I was stuck with the S-2000 when I really wanted the NSX R-type.

You can't really choose.


Just after you finish the race, before it gives you a prize car, save the game. Go back to where it gives you the prize car, and if you don't like the one it gives you, go to the main menu and click LOAD GAME. You can do this forever, as many times as you'd like until you get the car you want.

After you win the race it is possible to save the game?  Ive noticed that the save option is shaded out and all you can do is hit next to receive your car.  But then agian, I could be missing something.  Advise.

If it's shaded out then I assume you don't have a PS2 memory card...? I have one, and the option to save right after I finish a race is never shaded out. If you don't already have one, you need to go get one!

Hi, I just win the race's 4 times, to get all the 4 prizes, plenty of time before we get another great racing game like this one.

So if you win it four times, your'e guaranteed to get all four cars.  Very nice.  
And Josh getting a memory card, great idea.  Now Ill be able to turn off my PS2 without having to start GT3 all over again.  Thanks for the advice, the system was getting a little warm.  do you feel my sarcasm, I'm laying it on pretty thick

NO you do not get all 4 cars if you win it 4 times i raced the super speedway endurace race 2 times and got that same falcon racing car or whatever it is called!

Yeah, and thank god they have an in series save.  Some of these serries are just too damn long to get stuck with a POS.  It took me 19 tries to get the damn Altezza LM from the altezza Race.

After the last race in a series you can't save your game.  At least on my machine, what I do is make sure I am far enough ahead in the series to be able to exit out of the last race and then I can just quit the last race and retry until I get the car I want.  I am pretty sure it is weighted as far as what car you receive.  I have tried 15-20 times to get a certain car with no luck at times.......

You don't always get a different car. Ive raced the Super Speedway 5 times and have 2 F090/s and 2 Falcon XR8's.

Isn't it true then that once you've won a car you will never be able to win it again.

Or are you saying that if I win a race series again I will win another car (either of the same type or different type if it's a number of cars)

Press X when the black circle is under the car you want. IT worked for me.
