I don't know if this has been posted, but you do not have to race in order to cycle the used car dealer.

Just enter a license test, then instead of starting the test click "Next license", then that will bring up the next license, and cycle 1 game day. After 5 game days the Used car dealer completely refreshes. I select B-1 then cycle through B-5, then exit out and check the cars. This is useful if you are looking for one specific car.

If you go and enter a grind race you can re enter it without skipping menus. Indy = 500,000 cr and fresh used cars I. 20 minutes

with loading times, its actually quicker just entering a race and exiting and restarting race 5 times now.

Dude i've been lurking these forums since GT5 was released, and I have only just seen this. I have been racing Sunday cup Autumn Ring over and over to refresh the UCD. No more!!!

Why not just go race the Indy race for 5 minutes tops, and then go back to check the dealership? It's extra money and xp too.

It only takes a minute or so to do it this way, and sometimes (like my situation right now) I have refreshed the dealership about 10-15 times and still not found the car. So it would take significantly longer to do a race everytime.

You don't have to do the races, load up the race, 3, 2, 1, pause, quit......race again (ie green flag), 3, 2, 1, pause, quit. Repeat.

I just did that and it felt like it might be slightly faster, but two things that bothered me was you have to do a lot more button pushing which just felt annoying after about the 3rd time, and also, don't they track your win percentage? Like races entered/won? I don't want to take a huge hit on my races won from doing it that way.

It's not MIGHT be faster, it is faster, you only load track once, and you don't even need to wait for the countdown. As for win percentage, not sure, but I personally do not care about that in single player mode.

So I am an old guy and 'way behind the times - I only just got to grinding out the Used Car lot.

Free Run seems a quickish way to cycle the lot - no need to start the run, just load/quit/repeat.

Did anyone (Famine?) get a conclusive number of days for the complete Used Car cycle?

(btw. IPad doesn't like your zip file :))

Theres 2 master lists and I've seen them up over 1600 GT days. I think both end around 1800.

you can enter a race, quit (to race menu, with drivin opts, steup etc), then re-enter quit 5 times, which is much faster for me than cycling licences

aspec, beginner class, first challenge, first race

start the race, then press start, then exit

do that 4 more times, then, exit the race and go back to gtlife. you have now cycled the entire ucd

people SAY that the lisence tests are faster. but they are wrong.

some people say to do this on b spec, because you have to press 1 less button to exit the race, but, i digress

I know I've said this many times but here goes again...

B-Spec with your first driver (far left) available for career mode racing. Load the Autumn Ring Mini event in Sunday Cup and start/quit the race (not the event) a total of five times for a complete UCD cycle. Starting and quitting with B-Spec is bit easier thanks to the fact that you don't need to hit the start button or move the cursor, simply hit circle to get to the exit menu and x twice to first click the exit menu and second to actually exit the race. This particular event also loads quickly because of the simplicity of the track and the low umber of cars on it (8). Remember, load the event as you would in A-Spec and then start and quit just the race itself. Having your first driver available is an option but it's the default choice in the driver selection screen.

Any of the replies given will work quite well. If one is 10-20secs faster than another then who really cares. Is 10 or 20 seconds really worth arguing about.I mean nobodies time is that regimented is it?
