How to find a lost bag/phone/ipod

At school today my bag was nicked. I by don't know who. Probably by these group of kids who are allways trying to anoy me.

Today they took my bag. I left it with my friends bags and then went to play footy. Then when we came back to get my bag it had gone.

I have searched the school and told my parents and my year manager (teacher).

What would you guys suggest I do.
In the bag was my phone a samsung tocco lite. If I phone it it rings but gets no answer. Is there a way I can track the phone?

Do you have serial numbers for the items in question? Have you contacted police?

It's worth saying there is no 'way' to find them. we can only give suggestions.
Are you sure it was stolen and not misplaced? Why yours and no one elses?

I know there is no sure fire way. I was just thinking that due to the size of this forum there might have been someone who would have gone through a similar experiance and managed to get the possesion back.
I'm pretty sure it was stolen. Since I remember putting the bag down there and when I came back I couldn't find it. Why mine. Because I hang around with the "popular" people and no one would take their bags if you get what I mean. I'm sort of the wimpy/nerdy one out of the group.

Guys by what I said above do you think my parents would be able to claim on the house insurance?
