Sorry about that,
Any ideas for video rendering settings?
I'm using Vegas PRO 11.0, I realy don't want upload videos what is 1gb big and 5min long
The best way to get 1080 video is to use a PbPrY cable and capture it.
👍

The PVR 2 is a great unit, but if you want to record 1080, check my sig on how I do it. It's far more expensive and more work is involved.

It works. Trust me. It has to be that particular hdmi splitter though. If you want to record HDMI from any device get one while you still can. It's worth the money if you want to record high quality gameplay as the difference between HDMI and component is night and day.

the problem with these external Capture cards is the USB 2.0, this severly limits the throughput.

I would reccomend an internal such as hauppage collosus or black magic intensity

i have the colossus and it really trumps all over the hd-pvr which i had previously

Hey JK83, I used to have one of these although I only had the stock HD PVR, not the PVR 2. I ran it through YPbPr cables at 720p. The quality was great and the only real problem I had was finding the correct software to enable me to record on OSX. (I just purchased EyeTV since it was compatible). As you already know, the raw file sizes are huge, so using a program like Sony Vegas to edit them and render them down is a good idea, I also think that running it through Adobe After Effects (The Adobe products are usually expensive as well) will also lower the file size without losing too much quality. Someone can correct me if i'm wrong on that part.
