Nothing new, me partaking in a One Make lobby today. Got a hang of this car a bit and managed to get myself a good qualifying position. Probably my first chance at a 1st place finish. I am patient however and don't expect that to be done on first corner. Doesn't seem like the Dr: B/Sr: S drivers in this game have any patience as you will see in the short video.

At 0:49 don't know what line that guy in second place was trying to take. There is no way he would've got that and immediately rushed to overtake and crashed the 1st driver but he himself got the worst of it.

At 0:58 you can see me looking at my rear view and you can see a silver chrome atenza in fourth place well behind us. Fast forward to 1:09 and the guy dive bombs everyone.

In the next several seconds I lost many more positions thanks to these reckless and childish drivers. You can see for yourself. Went into that thinking I had a chance and all I got out of it was a SR rating drop.

Seems like your forcing your way at the 1:20 mark kind of set things off. Not that the other guys were racing super clean, but you certainly could have let off at that point and waited for the next opportunity.

Had I slowed down would cause a wreck behind me, I let off when necessary at the corner. He is reckless troll and all the drivers in that lobby were driving horribly.

They're all over the place man. And without a proper reporting system (which PD don't want) there's almost no reason to enforce the iRacing style system.

Than that would be on whoever was behind you for not paying attention to what is unfolding in front of them.

You continued to force him over even after returning to the racing surface.

Again, the other drivers weren't clean by a long shot, but you were also being far too aggressive for it being the first lap.

Usually I'm polite about things but not about this, your input is unwelcome. The guy ruined the race for everyone and I had to do so as to not get veered off left by him. 5 seconds later he veers left into everyone and hits me and messes up another guy. There's no point trying to be clean the race was ruined and he was ramming everyone the rest of the race.

Totally agree man, it's just odd how they are Dr B, I was expecting a very professional race. If they are good drivers seemed like everyone wanted to troll that race or something. :)

One thing that iRacing does brilliantly, is that it offers the opportunity to save replays of all races (it's enabled by default, you just have to save the file at the end of race). These replays show everything; all view points from all cars, steering input, pedal input etc. This would be so useful in GT Sport.

If you're not going to be open to criticism, a public forum may not be the best place for you.

You need to find better ways to get attention from people in your life.

I don't think GT Sport is in that niche of racing genre yet. Although I think they should make it harder to achieve Sr: S rating. It's pretty easy at this point to attain.

It's just insane. I wish I could show you the race I just had. I came from 9th to 2nd in the fixed Ford Focus race that is on now. On the third and final lap, when desperate, the 3rd and 4th placed racers began to use me as a bumper into corners. I got SR downgrades. I got time penalties. I was the one who had to look out for them, as they clearly were setting up to use me as a barrier into corners. This is so messed up. I love this game, but there's no penalty for cheaters so why have this kind of SR/DR system???

Granted, it was a pretty rough start by everyone, but lift right around 1:32 and turn inside the red car when he gets on the dirt and you're driving away in second place ahead of the carnage.

You had your part in this as well imo.

First your driving roof cam without mirrors and you dont use radar so your spacial awareness is never going to be on point. You probably had no idea you were 3 wide untill it all went wrong.

Second you do a small lift in the full throttle righthander while letting the gap open on the right setting yourself up for the divebomb that you never saw coming because of a lack of mirrors and radar.

Third when **** was about to go wrong right in front of you in the esses you just held your foot down and prayed for the best. When this is your standard aproach you are gonna get caught by allot of incidents you could have avoided. When cars in front are clearly gonna cut back on track and cause havoc you better slow down to allow for some avoiding needing done, not saying you could have avoided this incident but you did rob yourself of any chance by staying on the throttle.

Again not saying it was all on you, but there were definetly things you could have done better.

You can save the replay of all completed races and watch it from any car any viewpoint. It's on the top left at the result screen.

I would have backed off a bit at 1:15 from that reckless driver, pass him when he was off road again. You pushed him into the red car making things worse. Plus someone like him can be of use to take out first place. Let the aggressive driver pass and they'll usually clear a path for you ;)

It's just a game, anyway I was driving normally after he frustrated me there. The race was complete wreck anyway, I still managed 7th because of people constantly wrecking. Anyone else would have hit him off the track after that, he should consider himself lucky.
Jajjajaajajajaja was epic, 13 to 1rst

At the end I thought you started first and maintained, and then I realize you actually caught up all the way, don't know how, lol.

  • No radar
  • No mirror
  • As soon as flyingjms divebombs you, the viewer can tell you've got the red mist
  • Instead of ceding 2nd position and gathering your nerves, you continue putting your car in a dangerous situation by repeatedly banging into his car with no real discernible goal
  • Once you've committed to this stupidity it's fairly obvious what's going to happen at some point later in the lap
  • Because you don't have radar you end up banging into the red car on your right because you don't know he's there headed into the right-hander
  • You choose to place your car in between the tussling red and silver cars and the inevitable happens: one of them spins and takes you out
  • So basically you just got all huffed and puffed up and are posting a video of a bunch of unlikable drivers (OP included)
This is a classic example of the "everyone is a bad driver except me" mindset.

Your **** driving is unwelcome.

Hmm, I didn't realise everyone had to accept another persons purposeful online wrecking. Interesting.

If only there was a proper online protest system, maybe the affected racer mightn't feel so vengeful?

You're still mad over the tuning thread, LOL!

So a motorsports race is about finishing the race distance in the shortest amount of time. Someone who is not a **** driver realizes this and doesn't get the red mist on lap 1, concedes a place or two when faced with stupidity of getting drawn into a bangfest, and the cars ahead wreck, as they did here, and you are suddenly in 2nd place.

Doing well is about small decisions. OP made a bunch of bad small decisions in half a lap, hence he faced the consequences.

Very childish behaviour, Adam. Your mother would be sad you don't take responsibility for your **** driving and instead expect a sympathy fest from your cute video of you driving badly.

GTS does not present the player with racing, it presents the racer with a glorified Destruction Derby. That is where things go wrong. This is not a racing game. If it were a genuine racing simulator (as it claims), the players involved in the chaos would have been served with penalties.
